If you’ve been looking to fill that Heavy-Rain sized void ever since you completed the game and its 20+ endings, we’ve got good news for you, because at this year’s GDC, Quantic Dream’s David Cage will be debuting new tech, which will power whatever the studio’s next game will be.
This year’s Game Developer’s Conference is a little over a month away, so gamers don’t have to wait all that long before they find out what is up Quantic Dream’s sleeve. The new technology will be shown off during Cage’s hour-long lecture on performance capture and art direction, focusing on “how real time technologies can be used to create emotion”.
You may recall that way back at E3 in 2006, Cage debuted a tech demo called “The Casting”, which provided gamers a peak into what they could expect from Heavy Rain. Considering the game wasn’t released until over three years after that tech demo debuted, it’s clear that Quantic Dream takes their time in carefully crafting each of their titles. Let’s just hope we don’t have to wait another three years for the next game.
Be sure to check back here in March for the full rundown on Cage’s lecture and a look at what is in store for the future of Quantic Dream.

They need to announce something soon.
Yeah seriously…a trailer for a game would be a good idea. I like these guy’s though. I guess it will be cool to see what they are working on. I was really excited prior to the release of Heavy Rain and it did deliver once I completed the story.
I can’t wait to see what they’ve been up to. Even if no new game is announced. I need to play Heavy Rain again. I’ve had this recent urge to play every game I have over again. Currently splitting my time among Bioshock, Assassin’s Creed II, Batman Arkham Asylum, and Black Ops.
