Ubisoft has revealed two new features of the PlayStation Vita version of its 2D platformer with animated-style graphics, Rayman Origins. Unfortunately, they also revealed that a feature in the console version won’t make it into the Vita version of the game.
Before getting into the features, Ubisoft PR Specialist Alex Monney announced on the PlayStation Blog that all of the beauty of the animation style and frantic gameplay from the PS3 version made it into the Vita version fully intact.
The first new feature is that the game has a new zoom feature, accessible by pinching the touch screen. The zoom enables players to better see the level of detail in the animation, as well as find hidden secrets.
The second new feature is Ghost Mode, where players can challenge each other’s ghosts in speed runs for the best times.
Unfortunately, though, Monney also confirmed in the comments that multiplayer is not included in the game:
No multiplayer in the Vita version. However, the Ghost Mode will definitely let you connect with your friends for some Rayman Origins wackiness.

Rayman Origins will release for PlayStation Vita on February 14th.
What do you think about the new features for the Vita version of Rayman Origins? Let us know in the comments below.
I skipped the PS3 version because I wanted the Vita version and I recently found out that the home console versions had MP. I’m not missing much, as long as I get to play Rayman. The reviews have been fairly Positive and I assume the portable version will get the same.
Ghost mode is nice, but I’m really intrigued with the Pinch feature. It will help with collecting the collectibles for the trophies that come all with them.

Playing this on the PS3 with three other players is really fun! I was hoping for some kind of transfarr support
