Earlier today, news broke that Insomniac Games would definitely no longer make any Resistance games, much to the despair of series fans. Now, CEO Ted Price has confirmed the end of their involvement, and spoken about why they have moved on.
Insomniac released the following video on YouTube titled “A Message from Ted Price”:
Of course, there will be another Resistance game from Nihilistic for the Vita later this year, but after that the future of the franchise is unclear. Would you like Sony to keep Resistance going? Let us know in the comments below.
i would like sony to continue the series. maybe answer the questions everyone has been asking since game one and the questions raised by the second and third. i loved the series, especially how the second one ended. there was a twist m knight scamalong could never muster.
shocking, sad, angry and pissed off. While I do understand to a certain aspect, moving on, i think i’s wrong, it’s BS and a slap at the fans face. Especially since the series isn’t over! If 3, had the be all, end all final conflict, great. But we’re not even close to that and i think its BS.
You created a amazing series for the PS3. Res, 1 was f’n awesome, graphics, gameplay, weapons etc…2nd game was excellent, and in my only opinion, i think the online MP was by far theeeeeeeeeeee greatest O.MP i’ve ever played w/ teamates, and met numerous friends that i’ve met thru R2 OMP too this day.
I hope the series continues, and if anything, if Ted wants out, I would pray that they kept some control over it in is development, as its being made, to assure the thee RESISTANCE Experience, will ALWAYS REMAIN!!

Its good they know when to end a series. Resistance 3 ended it nicely, kudos to Insomniac for not milking it.
They most deffinately need to continue the franchise one the PS3 and on the Vita. Resistance is one of the main reasons I bought my PS3.
