Square Enix has released a new trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2‘s launch that shows cutscenes and various gameplay from the game.

At the beginning of the trailer, Lightning is shown kneeling in front of a white throne surrounded by crystals. Lightning and Noel are then shown on a white mechanical creature in flight, then jumping off of it onto the roof of a building. Mog is with them and transforms into a weapon for Noel. Then, an in-game cutscene sequence is shown, with Noel coming to Serah’s rescue. Noel and Serah are then shown in front of a crystal. Caius is shown battling the Shiva sisters and dispensing of them quite easily. The next part is of Noel and Serah battling a monster, before switching to a Cinematic Action scene of them battling another monster, with Snow protecting them. Various gameplay is then shown, including a Paradigm, a Feral Link, Mog treasure hunting, the Mog Clock, and more battle scenes before a scene of Lightning and Caius in battle is shown to close the trailer.

  1. Do they release a new trailer every two days or what?

    • Actually yes. Square Enix routinely releases more and more media the closer its bigger games get to release. It’s one reason we haven’t heard anything about Versus XIII in so long — they have to wait until XIII-2 is out and they’ve re-re-re-reminded us about it. You’ll see new Versus stuff once they’re sure XIII-2′s run is basically past its peak.
