North American PSN Senior Director Departs From Sony

Sony has revealed today that Susan Panico, the Senior Director of the North American PlayStation Network, has left the company.

The news came from Sony Computer Entertainment America’s spokesman Patrick Seybold:

We can confirm Susan has left SCEA. We thank her for her considerable contribution to our business and wish her every success in the future.

Susan Panico quit Sony after more than 17 years at the company, five of which were as PSN Senior Director. Panico was responsible for growing the PSN and introducing brand new entertainment programs such as PULSE and The Tester, but her biggest challenge was back in April 2011 when she handled Sony’s damage control during the PSN hack.

At this moment, Sony has not announced a replacement.
