Capcom has released a new trailer for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City that formally introduces the characters and their skill sets.
The trailer explains that Umbrella has sent in the Umbrella Security Service to cover up their involvement in the Raccoon City incident of September 1998. A character who appears to be Hunk explains to his squad that they’ve been sent to find the lab of Dr. William Berkin, an Umbrella scientist attempting to sell classified samples of a weaponized virus strain to the U.S. government. Their mission is to intercept Berkin and secure the G Virus.
The characters in the game and their skills are then introduced. Lupo’s speciality is in assault and she’s shown gunning down Lickers on a ceiling and punching one of her enemies. Vector’s specialty is in Recon and he can assume the image of his enemies. Bertha’s a medic who appears to be quite skilled with a knife. Spectre’s specialty is surveillance and he can see readings of his enemies on the battlefield. Four Eyes is a scientist who is shown shooting zombies with some kind of scientific-looking weapon. Beltway’s specialty is demolition and he appears to be able to plant explosives, as well as put grenades in the mouths of enemies and pull the pins out.
Next, we’re introduced to Spec Ops team Echo Six. The first is Dee-Ay, whose specialty is assault. He’s seen executing a rush attack by running up to an enemy with some kind of energy/force field appearing to surround him. Next is Willow, whose specialty is recon. She can cloak herself in stealth camouflage. Harley is a medic who is seen charging into zombies. Party Girl’s specialty is surveillance and she is shown using thermal vision. Shona is a field scientist who throws a grenade that emits red smoke referenced as being pheromones in a previous trailer. Tweed’s expertise is demolition and she can throw grenades that stick to walls. The trailer closes by showing bio-organic weapons such as Lickers and Tyrants, followed by a gameplay montage of various characters shooting enemies.

What did you think of the new trailer? Let us know in the comments below.
I actually find this to be misleading as their implying we get to play as the Echo Six team. PS3Trophies have actually put on their site (sorry Sebastian if I seem to be taking away views for another site, just that I’m not sure if PSLS has a similar article about this) an article about some DLC for the game called the “Echo Six Expansion Pack Mission”, I think Capcom needs to make it clear what they mean when they say Expansion, will an Echo Six campaign be with the disc (and I don’t mean locked under a download key) or is the campaign the so called DLC and how long will it be?
Will people be left feeling as though they have to download the Echo Six Expansion Pack Mission DLC to enjoy the campaign for Echo Six. I don’t mean to hate on Capcom but they’ve put themself into this situation where I want their games but I don’t know if I can trust them enough to buy the games. I think Slant Six did a great job with this game and I’d hate to see all their work go to waste because people like me can’t trust Capcom.
