Activision has announced today that the “content season” for Call of Duty Elite Premium Members who own Modern Warfare 3 and are on PSN begins on February 28th.
On February 28th, two content drops in the form of maps will be released for COD:MW3 for COD Elite Premium Members on PlayStation Network. One map is called “Liberation” and is described as “a militarized Central Park in the heart of NYC” ideal for LMG and sniper shots. Mounted turrets are available on opposite ends of the map. It also, as shown in the trailer, has tunnels that run underneath the whole map. The other map is called “Piazza” and is described as an Italian seaside village getaway gone wrong, with branching pathways and blind corners ideal for close-quarters combat. Attacks from above and below are a constant threat in Piazza as well.
Below, we’ve inserted the trailer that Activision released for both maps when they were released earlier on Xbox Live.

Will you be picking up these maps later this month? Let us know in the comments below.
If I were a PS3 player of this I would be out right upset. Activision should have given all Elite subscribers access to the maps on the same day regardless of platform, and released the DLC map packs later for non-subscribers.
This is absolutely ridiculous to make a paying subscriber WAIT because of their platform of choice.
Bad form sirs.
That’s how it works with CoD. M$ gets it all first because they pay, because they know every map pack called “Modern Warfare #” will sell ridiculously well to the people stupid enough to keep paying for the same crap over and over.
it disgusts me to think about all the people who are so brain-washed by this mediocre garbage to actually pay for the Elite Premium service…buying the game is one thing, but paying for earlier access to maps, etc. is just idiotic.
I’m glad that I’m not stupid enough pay for this sh*tty subscription in the first place. MW2 was the last CofD game I purchased and it will be the last. I will give my hard earned cash to the devs that innovates and bring something new to the table.
I must sound like a broken record at this point but who in their right mind charges for a service and then tells you the content your recieving begins two months into when you started paying. Does a plumber charge you for the time between when you called till the time he gets there? What was that first month the people bought the special edition for worth? Did anything happen? Did they even release any content for the service? Oh wait no it was down.
You know what I hope Activision goes down next. They can hang out in the same crappy mess Sony and Capcom are in not so they can go out of business but…you know what I don’t even know what I want anymore, I doubt these guys would change and even if they did they wouldn’t have enough money to stay afloat. I hate that we live in a society where corporations almost have to screw us over in order to survive
