Rumor: LittleBigPlanet Cart Racing Announced At Destination PlayStation Event
Is Sackboy racing his way to PlayStation 3 in a new game coming in the future? A tweet from a Canadian video game retailer seems to suggest so.
Eurogamer reports that video game retailer FutureShop tweeted the following message:
@FS_Gamer at #Playstation Destination Little Big Planet Cart racing announced for ps3. Move compatible wheel and 3D capable!
The report says that Sackboy’s presence at the annual retail and publisher conference, Destination PlayStation, was mentioned in a tweet from BioShock creator Ken Levine as well:
Destination Playstation done. Got inappropriately touched by Sackboy.
FutureShop did not make any follow-up tweets about the game with any more details about the announcement. Also, Sony has made no official announcements about LittleBigPlanet Cart Racing.
On a side note, series creators Media Molecule had said that while they were staying involved with supporting LittleBigPlanet, they wouldn’t make any more games.

This has already been done. It’s called Modnation Racers.
I’m definitely intrigued but isn’t ModNation Racers enough..?
…aren’t there already kart racing games within LBP 2? I don’t see this as all that necessary if true.
I hope Media Molecule do make a LBP3 one day;) + it could be good LBP-Kart if done right:P
Are you f*cking kidding me? why would we need a LBP racing game if ModNation was released o.o hope it isn’t by media molecule, I was kinda curious of their next IP
I have no doubt that it will be good and fun but I don’t feel that it is necessary with ModNation Racers focusing on kart racing with creation modes. I think a LBP expansion pack for ModNation would be more appropriate.
This is definitely interesting but does Sony really need another cart racing franchise?
