  1. Bought one love it , it’s what the psp should have been ,in the first place or at least what Sony dreamed what a handheld could be. Can’t wait for burning skies , assassins creed , call of duty , ect , bring on the games!

  2. I was hoping to win one…*hint hint* *nudge nudge* =)

  3. I really thought hard about it today. I was standing in front of the game case today looking at them and pondering. I looked through all the games and I just thought to myself that these games are nothing I haven’t experienced before… I knew if I bought it and got it home that I would be dissapointed because I knew I could turn on my PS3 and get the same or better experience from any of the launch titles. I’m going to hold off until there is either a great, unique game that comes out for the Vita, but i’m really hoping that I have enough control over my spending habits to wait for a price drop/slim model.

Also what does that pic for this article have to do with buying a Vita lol?

Really? So you can use touch controls and AR on your PS3? No offense but you don’t know what the Vita is all about. Look at the feedback from all the owners, everybody love it. You will not understand it until you own it.

      • Besides Escape Plan i’ve seen nothing that uses the touch screens in inventive ways. Climbing walls in Uncharted with my finger? No thanks, i’d rather use the buttons instead. I’ve experienced the AR on the 3DS before and it’s a nice little thing to play around with, but something that certainly isn’t going to sell me on the system. I’ve watched the videos for the AR games, the diving game looks lame and the fireworks game looks like it could be decent. Little Deviants and Reality Fighters are nothing i’m sold on. For the record AR is on the PS3 in Eye of Judgement and any game where your using the PS Move. Again though, i’m not purchasing a $250 for a handfull of AR games and some touch screen controls that I don’t care for. I know what the Vita is all about, like most i’ve followed it since it was the NGP. I’m sure i’d like the thing if I bought it, but would still be dissapointed because it’s nothing I haven’t done before.

      • Have you seen gameplay for Little Deviants Vita? If not then you should check it out. I had the recent pleasure of demoing it at a local Fry’s Electronics, and I loved it. If that game doesn’t convince you, I don’t know what will.

Ages ago, although it was only last week FEB LOL. I am pumped about the vita and enjoying the few games and demos I got. I gotta say UNIT 13 looks fabulous! Graphic wise ofc and IMO. Gameplay seemed fine and cant say about storyline ahaha but it was entertaining. It is probably something I will pick up eventually since I loved Socom 4.

The vita looks great I haven’t even touched one yet but, I do plan on making a purchase in the near future for three reasons. The price-I’ll wait for a drop.

(Most important to me) The games-Maybe it’s just me and my love for japanese women or I’m half japanese and my mother never told me but, I love japanese games. I think the japanese are smart and creative In a lot of things especially games/electronics. I mean where are the JRPG’S Tales of, Final Fantasy, and so on. I’ll wait till those and more touch down in the U.S. of A for the vita.

Last but not least The color/body-If I remember quiet well (which I do cause my memory goes tough) there was a vid on here showing off the vita and its different colors. On top of that there was an article on here about a sony person wanting to make the vita slimmer if possible. If (keyword IF) sony can make a slim version of the vita in different colors that’d be great so, I’ll be patient and wait. I don’t expect to wait 2 or more years either. I’ll give it a year year and a half and see what they do with the vita. If nothing new by then I’ll still be picking it up.

unfortunately even if there are color variations I doubt they will come to the US…every Sony console seems to get color variations in Japan but they never get out of their native land apart from the PSPgo which I’m still surprised about (I knew I would probably never get another white console out of Japan so I bought a white PSPgo when I had the chance).

As far as a slimmer model while I’m sure it will be possible I’m just not sure if it would be advantageous. Since the Vita has the two analogs and dual touchscreens I just feel your hands would get cramped if your hands had any less space to spread out during an active game…maybe they’ll prove me wrong though.

      • I’m guessing that they may eventually come out with different colors, but they will be in bundled with games like the PSP did. That is how I got my red one, with the God of War bundle.

@Mark I couldn’t agree with you more. I just believe patience is a virtue and I actually got to play the vita today from a friend who’s bought it and I must say amazing device but, I stick to what I say and If you’ve read my post above you’ll see why I am waiting. http://youtu.be/3yeeI4GH8TY

if you dont have one and can get one u should ive had mine for weeks and i love it the only thing i hate and im sure alot of people do or will soon is that stupid memory card u should deff go for the 32 gb card if you can

  7. Joan says:

loving it ! Uncharted is totally worth the price and will try to beat it slowly and even go for a platinum but still can wait for more features and games in the near future

  8. WestSiide says:

    no. but maybe after :
    1. price drop
    2. slim/updated version w/video out
    3. cheaper memory
    4. more games. or at least games that I feel I must have.

  9. I was originally going to get the wifi only version, but with an 8GB card costing $30 – $35, I figured I might as well get the 3g launch bundle. May never use the 3G, but it’ll be there if they ever come up with a reason for me to need it.

  10. Never – and I know I’m in the minority, but I’m totally satisfied by all the gaming I have on my PS3 and laptop. A handheld is literally the only way I could possibly squeeze more gaming into my life, but just for the 15 minute bus ride to and from work every day it’s not worth it – and sometimes it’s good to take a break from such things.

It’s nothing against Vita, just handhelds in general – they’re a waste of money to me. That same amount of money can buy something much more powerful, it’s just not portable, but with my massive TV I’d rather it not be portable anyway.

  11. Tristan77 says:

I got the first edition bundle and I love my PSVita. Uncharted is amazing, Rayman is so fun, love interface, the beautiful OLED screen and NEAR is so cool, I have made new friends through NEAR that live near me and are playing Vita. I totally recommend it.

  12. I take my Vita with me everywhere!
This is not a handheld….it’s a portable console!
    PlayStationLifestyle rules!

  13. Mark says:

Someone said it’s better to wait at least six months or one year but I had a feeling about the PS Vita that I should buy one myself. Thus, I bought the First Edition Bundle. No regrets here.

  14. FiftyQuid says:

Where is the “When I’m able to convince my wife we need one” option?

  15. Crotin says:

Yup, I can’t stop tweeting about it….and with it :P

  16. Kaminari says:

Not interested in portables. Hasta la Vita, Sony.

  17. vesra says:

Got one, 3g even. Got to test out the 3g last night. not bad, not the best. But, what can you expect from 3g. Also, love the system. Absolutely worth every penny.

  18. Ducati says:

Picked mine up on launch day, bought the 3G one & thoroughly enjoying it! :D
