Criterion Looking For Software Engineer For Vita & PS3 “Interoperation”

Burnout and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit developer Criterion is looking for a Software Engineer for PlayStation Vita, with one very interesting responsibility listed in the job description.

Superannuation posted a link to a job listing for Criterion that seeks a Software Engineer to work on PlayStation Vita. The job listing includes mentions of a DLC Store and “implementing interoperation between the PS3 and VITA.”

Criterion has been reported to have been seeking staff for an open-world racing game project. Could their next game feature PS3 and Vita cross-save functionality or some other kind of PS3/Vita interaction?

Also, South African retailer BTGames — who had leaked a Jak & Daxter HD Collection listing — had briefly listed Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2 with EA as a publisher, prior to the page having been edited sometime later.

Criterion has made no official announcements about their next project, but it’s likely either a Burnout game or a NFS title.
