Update: The Legacy Bundle is confirmed by Sony and you can expect it on May 7th in stores.
Original Story: The word ‘legacy’ has been thrown around quite a bit lately. The God of War PS3 Bundle that includes every single PlayStation game in the series is called the God of War: Ascension Legacy Bundle. Then, you have the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection coming out in June, and even a NewEgg listing about a PS3 Legacy Bundle.
Well, Amazon.com has provided their own listing for that PlayStation 3 Legacy Bundle at $299.99, mirroring the details found on NewEgg by giving it a 500GB hard drive, May 6th release date, as well as free copies of Gran Turismo 5 and inFamous 2. What Amazon does add though, is that Gran Turismo 5 is actually the XL Edition, which includes $20 of DLC on a voucher, and it’s a black PS3 system.
The listing also goes on to suggest that Gran Turismo 5 is going to be a full disc (as opposed to a voucher), but nothing was mentioned about inFamous 2 being retail or physical.
What do you think of this bundle? Is the word ‘legacy’ right to use when it only includes two games? Let us know in the comments below.
