A few months back, Grand Theft Auto V was announced for a September 17 release date, putting it on the exact same day as Killzone: Mercenary. Undeterred, the Killzone account on Twitter shot back by saying, “come at me bro.”
Moving now to present day, the release date of Killzone: Mercenary was shifted to earlier in September, with the Twitter account active once again, sending a message to Rockstar that read, “Imma be the bigger man and walk away.” Unfortunately, that tweet has since been deleted, but here’s a screen grab for reference:
Switching to more game-specific news, Victor Zuylen, Community Editor at Guerrilla Games, took to the PS Blog and explained that, when compared to Killzone 2 and 3, “aiming has been tweaked for the PlayStation Vita but it does retain some of its ‘weighty’ feel. We like it that way.”
Referencing the 4 vs 4 online multiplayer in Mercenary, Victor then said that they “currently have no plans to increase the number of players.” He also added that “with the new Contracts mode, single player has excellent replayability,” there’s “LOTS of new guns and gadgets,” and they’re “aiming for a steady 30fps.”
Do you think “Imma be the bigger man and walk away” is wittier than “come at me bro?” Let us know in the comments below.
