Under a month before Resident Evil Remastered launches on January 20, 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 (pre-order to receive cross-buy on both platforms in North America), it appears Capcom may have leaked the existence of a Resident Evil Zero remaster.
Over on the Japanese website for the Resident Evil HD Remaster, Capcom uploaded this image (it’s since been replaced by the image you see above), which displays the special PS4 theme gamers receive with a pre-order:
At the bottom of the screen on the right, there is an icon for what appears to be Biohazard 0, which would translate to Resident Evil Zero, and suggests a remastered version is in the works. Since Capcom did remove the original image, it’s possible this listing was a mistake, or it’s in development and they didn’t want to make the announcement quite yet.
For now, treat the potential for a Resident Evil Zero remaster as a rumor, but if we hear anything more about it, we’ll be sure to let you know.
Would you buy Resident Evil Zero if it was remastered?
