As of right now, the upcoming Street Fighter V is only confirmed for release on PlayStation 4 and PC. If Street Fighter Producer Yoshinori Ono is able to though, he told IGN this month that he’d like to bring it to PlayStation Vita as well:
It will be an exclusive for the PS4 and PC. I’d like to make it for the Vita in the future, but for now, my focus is for Sony and the PS4.
Also in the interview, Ono says the amount of fighters won’t go past 45 because “too many characters will confuse and even scare new players.” So far we know of Ryu, Chun-Li, and Nash, with Ono revealing that he planned to have Nash in the two previous installments but it didn’t pan out as far as the story he wanted to tell.
He wouldn’t talk more about the character customization, only hinting that more will be revealed soon.
Next up for Street Fighter is Ultra Street Fighter IV on PS4, which Ono says is in the final phase of testing at Capcom.
Would you buy Street Fighter V if it came to the Vita?
