Fallout 4 is More Successful Than Skyrim “In Terms of What We Did,” Says Bethesda’s Pete Hines

Bethesda’s VP of Marketing and PR, Pete Hines, recently appeared on Kinda Funny Gamescast for a one-on-one with Greg Miller, during which he talked about Fallout 4‘s success. According to him, the game is Bethesda’s “most successful” title to date.

Fallout 4 has gotta be the most successful game we’ve ever launched in our company’s history,” said Hines. We’re told that it’s even more successful than The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim “in terms of what we did.”

“Successful” here could mean a number of things but as far as sales go, we don’t have updated figures for Fallout 4. Back in November 2015, the title shipped approximately 12 million units worldwide to meet day one demand at retail and digital channels across all platforms, amounting to more than $750 million in sales.

Skyrim, which released in November 2011, has sold 30 million copies and received the “Special Edition” treatment this past October.

What do our readers think of Hines’ comment?
