It’s been some time since we’ve seen or heard anything about the upcoming Darksiders 3, but today that changed. Collaborating with IGN as part of their “IGN First” program, THQ Nordic has released a brand new gameplay video from the game, showcasing Fury as she takes on an enemy known as a Lava Brute.
Not too much else is revealed in the video other than the location Fury is in, which seems to be some sort of cavernous hellscape. After coming face-to-face with the Brute, Fury unless a furious (no pun intended) combo on it before the gameplay video fades out. While this may be the first gameplay footage we’ve seen from the game in some time, this isn’t the very first footage we’ve seen, as IGN has shared other footage from the game on their Youtube channel in the pats.

Return to an apocalyptic planet Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash action adventure where players take on the role of Fury in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The Charred Council calls upon Fury to battle from the heights of heaven down through the depths of hell in a quest to restore humanity and prove that she is the most powerful of the Horsemen. As a mage, Fury relies on her whip and magic to restore the balance between good and evil. The expansive, Darksiders III game world is presented as an open-ended, living, free-form planet Earth that is dilapidated by war and decay, and overrun by nature. Fury will move back and forth between environments to uncover secrets while advancing the Darksiders III story.
Darksiders III is set to launch sometime in 2018.
