Holy remote play, Batman!

Holy remote play, Batman!

My good friend Ftwrthtx from the Official PlayStation Forums just informed me that LEGO Batman for PS3 is playable via PSP remote play.  Don’t have the Blu-ray/retail version of the game?  That’s okay because the PS3 LEGO Batman demo has been available on the PSN for a few weeks - and it supports remote play, too!

Hopefully we will see more developers embrace remote play as they get better at programming the PS3 architecture and free up more memory.  I’m going to go try this when I get home!

LittleBigWorkshop is live!

LittleBigWorkshop is live!

Hey guys, just a quick heads up that the new LittleBigPlanet portal dubbed “LittleBigWorkshop” (announced a couple weeks ago) is now up and running.  The LittleBigPlanet News site has been moved and is now a sub-compartment of this site.

I haven’t browsed around the site very much yet, but I wanted to get the word out to our readers first!  It appears the site includes the following…

PLAY Section:

  • Game Info – Want to know what LittleBigPlanet is all about?  Missed some of the LBP trailers?  How about exclusive artwork and screens from Mm?  You will find it all within the Game Info page.
  • LittleBigNews – LittleBigChallenges? User generated level spotlights? Developer news?  Get daily updates of LittleBigPlanet from the official News page.
  • LittleBigForums – a bulletin board system made for the ultimate LBP user.  Create your own thread, subjects or groups and take part with the LBP community
  • Sticker Room – Make your own wallpaper or artwork by using a set of in-game LBP stickers, architecture and decorations.

CREATE Section:

  • Blueprint Room - Use the blueprint creator to design a plan with your own imagination and download it to your desktop.  Print it as a guide for your LBP creation, or post it to have others rate it.
  • Workshop Room – A place to learn and educate others on all things in LittleBigPlanet.    Upload your own LBP  videos or photos and provide detailed information on how the object / level were built.
  • Inspiration Room - Want to inspire others to create something in LittleBigPlanet?  A SackBot or Spaceship?  Use the inspiration room to upload your own images or blueprints.

SHARE Section:

  • PSN Registration – Want to contribute by creating your own blueprint, workshop or inspiration?  Sign-in using your PSN registration to create your own LBP profile and participate.
  • Video Upload – Create your own video in LBP and show it off on LittleBigWorkshop.  Get the most amounts of views and get placed in the “Most Popular” category.
  • Image Upload – Upload your own image or blueprint within the Inspiration Room and get others to create.
  • Comment – Love it or hate it, this is your chance to give your input on everyone’s creations and inspirations.

MySackBoy?

MySackBoy?

I stumbled upon this MySackboy generator site hidden away on the LittleBigPlanet official site.  It’s currently not linked to anywhere from the main pages of the US LittleBigPlanet site.  Did we just break this out or have others known about this for a while?

It’s pretty cool and gives guys like me who don’t have the game yet something to play with.

UPDATE: Site is linked to from the bottom of the UK site, but not US.  So this site has been released, but not in the US.  Some forum chatter about it, but we’ll keep the news up so that those in the US who may not have seen the site can check it out!

I wouldn’t be doing my job (wait, is this a job?) if I didn’t remind everyone here that one of the finest gaming food establishments is giving out free tacos today.

Break away from LittleBigPlanet and grab a bite.  You do need food to survive.

Today from 2-6pm (in whatever time zone you live, presumably) you can claim one free beef crunchy taco at TACO BELL!

PAIN Movie Studio

PAIN Movie Studio

Hey guys, just wanted to give you a heads up to the newly announced PAIN Movie Studio, the upcoming environment for PAIN.  Not only will it feature new trophies to be patched-in (is this a PSN first for patching in extra trophies?) but it will also feature some new characters from other media.  Buzz will be joining the cast, and we can’t wait to see if any other celebrities/video game characters will be added into the mix.

You may recall that 2 months ago we guessed that this would be the next environment (then called PAIN Movie Lot)!  Anyone planning on buying this or are you sick of PAIN?

Check out all the details from the game’s Senior Producer, Travis Williams, over on the PlayStation.Blog.  I’m sure he’ll be fielding questions there, as he always does.

PS3 Eternal Sonata

I’m honestly not too into these kinds of games.  But in the interest of our readers, I’ve found some new info on the game from Namco-Bandai.  I apologize if you already know this info, but it’s news to me (then again, I mentioned I don’t really follow this genre).

So, without further ado, I bring you the details of Eternal Sonata for PS3:

PSN is going green!

I’m not quite sure what I think of Flower, the next title from thatgamecompany.  I’ve heard very interesting opinions about the game but everything I’ve heard has been so abstract.  It was nice to finally get my hands on some factual information about the game.  I thought you guys might like to see it as well.

I went ahead and bolded some of the information you might find interesting.  Check it out, straight from SCEA: Read more »

PAIN Online Multiplayer Delayed

Written by stalkingsilence

No fancy graphics or opinions on this one - just wanted to get the word to you all first. The online multiplayer add-on for PAIN ( originally scheduled to ship with the Amusement Park and PAINlabs on September 4, 2008 ) has been delayed indefinitely. It will still include voice support, ranking, anti-cheating mechanisms and will even support new modes.

To make a long story short, we’re not sure when it’s coming out now. Keep your eyes peeled. I’m sure once it does release, it’ll be pretty awesome. Will you all still give it a chance?

PlayStationLifeStyle.net Weekly PS Store Rumored Content

This week we should be seeing the (delayed) demos for 1942: Joint Strike and EA Sports’ Tiger Woods 09; maybe some Civilization Revolution content as well. But the most exciting new content has to be from Capcom. Not only do we get the PS3/PSP version of the PSone classic Street Fighter Alpha, we also get the demo and full game of Bionic Commando: Rearmed. Oh and of course it wouldn’t be a Thursday on the PSN without Rock Band DLC.  [Update: Looks like there may be a demo for NHL 2K9 as well.]

Other content may be on its way as well but we wanted to get the news to you first! Check out the full release list below adapted from my thread at the PlayStation.com forums: Read more »

I wanted to share some of the details I stumbled upon about the upcoming PSP game, Super Stardust™ Portable.  While the new information isn’t groundbreaking, it does feel good to know this game is on its way.  Especially when you are about to buy another PSP (I’m buying the Madden NFL 09 bundle that came out today for my brother).
