Sucker Punch’s inFamous was without a doubt one of the best games released in all of 2009. Not only did the game have an incredibly high replay value; it also featured one of the most impressive and explorable cities of 09′, Empire City. Divided into the three unique sections, with each being detailed down to the smallest degree. It must have took over a 75 developers to make such a gigantic city, right? Wrong! You’re not going to believe how small the team was that build the world Cole protected (or destroyed).

After many delays and extensive beta testing, PlayStation Home is finally coming into its own. In one of the last panel meetings of this year’s Games Developer Conference, PlayStation Home director Jack Buser gave some impressive figures that should easily impress even the most severe Home naysayers. Numbers across the board are up, and the community is finally creating a niche within the PS3 fanbase.

God of War III is almost here. To celebrate the launch of the PS3 exclusive, Sony and the PlayStation Blog put on a pre-release party in San Francisco during the Game Developers Conference. Not only were we there, but so was most of the top developers of the game as well as MTV, and G4TV.

In a recent interview taken at GDC, THQ’s executive VP of Core Games Danny Bilson talked about how his studio will concentrate more on creating downloadable titles destined for the PSN and XBL marketplaces. Even though the company already has two studios, THQ Digital Studios Phoenix and THQ Digital Studios UK, dedicated to the online market, it isn’t enough, according to Bilson. He would like “up to six” major downloadable titles per year, with some of those being based on the studio’s biggest IP’s.

Since it’s debut at E3 2009, the PS3 motion controller has been known by the boring working title ‘Motion Controller’. Just a few weeks ago it rumored to be named ‘Arc’, a trademark and a domain name registration backed up those claims. However, a recent finding of a trademark for the name “Move” threw us for a curveball. Finally all the speculation can end, as the real name for the PS3 motion controller has officially been revealed.

The God of War saga is known for Kratos’ battle with the Greek gods of Olympus. His journey has always been a solitary one.  After much speculation about God of War III being developed with a multiplayer component, all rumors and conjecture turned out to be false. Fans and pundits alike questioned if co-op would work well with the PlayStation 3 exclusive.
