Hello, podcast listeners! This week’s feature is inspired by Jonathan Leack’s editorial about multiplayer in the next God of War game. The guys give their opinion on if they think Sony Santa Monica could actually pull off multiplayer, or if it would just be unnessarily shoehorned in like….cough, BioShock 2, cough. Horde mode style muliplayer would fit the atmosphere of the game, but co-op missions have been very popular in recently, even though it’s not Kratos’ style to share the bloodshed. If there was co-op, who would you play as? Listen in to find out.

2011 is over! You might be a little sad to see it go, but 2012 is sure to be even better (except for the apocalypse). PMC, Cameron, Josh, and Eric ring in the new year by talking about the highs and lows of 2011. With the PSN hack, announcement of the Vita, lack of Move support and more, 2011 has been an eventful year for Sony. The guys also give their new year’s gaming resolutions. Spoiler: they want to play more games.

Boom! It’s the last podcast of the year and we are going out by talking about some of our most extreme gaming moments. Josh, by far, has the most extreme life out of anyone. Josh also goes into more detail on his Starhawk beta impressions during obsessions portion of the podcast. Once the podcast returns in 2012, the crew will talk about the highs and lows of the PlayStation over the past year. Be sure not to miss it!

The title says it all; we pit Batman: Arkham City against Uncharted 3. Listen as the guys discuss storytelling, combat, scope, and much more. We’ll let you know which game does a better job, and at the end, we will answer the question, “what game would you buy if you only had enough money for one?” Also, Cross Game Chat now has a phone number that you, the listener, can call to leave a voicemail question for us at 331-222-PSLS (7757).

It’s the beginning of the end… of the year. This week, we talk about the winners and losers for November, which had some great games like Uncharted 3 and Skyrim. Naturally, everyone on the podcast loved Uncharted 3, so we had to try hard to pick some other games for our winners. Also, believe it or not, someone on the podcast picked Skyrim as the loser for the month… listen in to find out who.

Today, is a fun podcast. We talk about games that we are glad we didn’t have to review – there are plenty of bad games that we are glad we didn’t review, but there are some AAA games on our list as well. In addition, Square Enix is back in the news again… no, it isn’t good news. Also, John Carmack is complaining about discussing the limits of developing for consoles. On the bright side, there is some great news about the PlayStation Vita and remote play.

So, news has gotten out that Rockstar doesn’t want to make a sequel to Bully 2. Listen to hear what the guys think about the revelation, in addition to news about Stuart Black’s new game and SEGA’s annnouncement to revive an old franchise. Since Thanksgiving is coming up, the guys talk about their favorite uses of food in video games. Also listen in for a mini-rant about the flaws in Skyrim.

We are giving away a free month of PS+, so be sure to listen to find out how to get that glorious cloud storage. Of course, your access to cloud storage or any free games goes away once the month is over, but what a month it will be! This episode we also talk about reasons to love and hate Skyrim, the future of Beyond Good & Evil, and boobs! So, what’s not to love? Also be sure to stop by playstationlifestyle.net/live for live playthroughs of Skyrim and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, now in HD!

This week, the guys talk about their winners and losers for the month of October. There were a ton of great games that released in October including Dark Souls, Battlefield 3, Arkham City, Rage, and, most importantly, The Sims: Pets. Now, the guys may end up picking games like Battlefield 3 or Arkham City, but the real winner is Dark Souls… so, just fast forward until you get to the losers. Speaking of which, The PSN was quite a disappointment this month. Listen to the podcast to find out why.

With Halloween festivities in full swing, the guys talk about the horrors some of the worst gaming experiences they have ever had. It turns out that a lot of the experiences revolve around losing game saves, whether it is due to freezing, breaking memory cards, or having a colony of ants move into your game console….that last one was courtesy of one of the community members watching the podcast life at playstationlifestyle.net/live. Also, tune in to the podcast to hear plenty of talk about Grand Theft Auto V and how Cameron hates Russian/Serbian immigrants.

This week, we decide to have some fun with the podcast and discuss what games we would make. PMC sets the bar low by wanting to make (of all things) a Facebook game, Cameron tries desperately to merge hockey and RPG’s, and Josh is still talking about Dark Souls. Also, Eric has just picked up Demon’s Souls after reading this awesome Dark Souls review, so this is pretty much the “From Software podcast” now. Be sure to tune in next week when we will give our special Halloween episode.

EA decided to release a beta that used old code for Battlefield 3, and a map that didn’t have any vehicle combat. As a result, there were a lot of gamers that played the Battlefield 3 beta and decided not to buy the game. In this week’s podcast, we discuss what steps EA should have taken to show off the game in the best light. We also discuss what type of games should release a beta, and what developers should expect to accomplish with a beta. Unfortunately, EA isn’t the only one screwing up this week – Square Enix lives up to their reputation of making horrible decisions and SEGA returns to remind us that they have no idea how to deal with the Valkyria Chronicles franchise.

This week, we talk about why the PSN totally sucks!…ok, not really, but we will be talking about aspects of the PSN that bother us. Among the long list of things we don’t like are the loading times, organization of the store, the inability to listen to music and surf the store at the same time, and the lack of key features. PSN isn’t the only thing getting hate this week – the guys are divided over whether Sony’s latest commercial is their best yet, or one of the worst ideas Sony has had.

This week we will be giving out 3 codes for the Splinter Cell HD Collection. Yes that’s right, if you listen to this podcast you can get a chance to win a free copy of a $40 game! Don’t think of it as bribery, think of it as… listening with benefits. On top of that, it also happens to be the beginning of the month, so that means we go over our winners and losers for September. Be sure to tune in (you might want to turn the volume down during the release horizon) to hear what games we picked, and of course, to win a free game!

The PlayStation Vita has gotten a lot of attention recently and gamers have learned new information about the device using augmented reality, the Vita’s internal memory, what games will be available at launch, and much more. Josh, Cameron, and PMC sit down to talk about the strengths and weaknesses of the device, and what impact the Vita will have on the gaming market. Also listen in as the guys answer live questions about the Vita from community members watching at playstationlifestyle.net/live. The guys also weigh in on if they still plan on buying the Vita. Spoiler, one of us isn’t.
