The exclusive PlayStation 3 beta for multiplayer-focused Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood was due to be released today in the US. However, Ubisoft has confirmed the beta has been delayed.

One of the most enticing features of Sony’s premium PlayStation Network service , PlayStation Plus, was the promise of exclusive betas for subscribers. While the free games and special deals offered by the service are certainly not to be sniffed at, the chance of getting access to a game before anyone else has caused many gamers to become PlayStation Plus members. Sony has now given the first details on the upcoming betas, with more to follow soon.

Medal of Honor used to dominate the First Person Shooter market, but has recently fallen out of the limelight, with Call of Duty comfortably holding the FPS crown. Publisher EA will be relaunching the series this October, and to ensure that the game has a killer multiplayer, veteran Battlefield developer DICE will be developing the online component of the title. To help bug fix, balance, and give gamers a taste of the Afghanistan based blockbuster, DICE is running a beta for the PC and PS3. Want in on the beta?
