In August, Dutch Developer W!Games announced their turn-based strategy title, Greed Corp, for the PlayStation Network. Soon after, PlayStation LifeStyle interviewed Nikki Kuppens, Game Designer at W!Games. She revealed that Greed Corp is a “game in which you have to face the consequences of harvesting resources to build your army with. On one hand you need that army to fight off your opponents, but on the other hand you need land to stand on, just like those opponents. Finding the correct balance and incorporating it into your overall strategy is what Greed Corp is about.” While the game was intitially scheduled for release last September, the title was pushed back indefinitely. Now, fresh information has given light on when the game will be released, as well as bringing new screenshots and a gameplay trailer.

In July it was announced that the highly anticipated Heavy Rain would be delayed past Christmas into the next year, as “it’s not ideal to release a new IP or a new genre just before Christmas”. Guillaume de Fondaumiere stated that “it’s a very crowded place to be, and certain games need more space to live their life.” However, since the delay numerous games, such as MAG, Bioshock 2 and Alpha Protocol, would all be releasing in early 2010.
