One of the major additions during this generation on consoles is none other than the trophy system. Being rewarded for playing a game that you can then showoff, err, showcase to your friends is a major reward to many gamers. Even though the system is great, it’s far from perfect. Many times during games bugs in the system will fail from triggering a trophy you just earned and you’ll have to bend over backwards while juggle a dozen eggs to finally get it to work. It seems a trophy glitch has appeared in Lost Planet 2 and its a bug that might just make many new owners of the title quite furious upon completing the game.
PlayStation LifeStyle reported a few weeks back that the Japanese version of Capcom’s Lost Planet 2 would be receiving a DLC skin of the ever popularly Monster Hunter series in Japan. The ‘Rathalos’ armor was yet another skin revealed by Capcom to be featured in the game along with Albert Wesker from the Resident Evil series and Frank West from Dead Rising. The worst part was that at the time, the Monster Hunter skin was a japan-only exclusive. Not anymore! The DLC will hit soon and the best part for sure is the price.

We reported early last week that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will feature a ‘Monster Hunter’ mode where Snake will enter the world of MH to hunt monsters, Metal Gear Style. Considering how popular Monster Hunter is in Japan, this is likely going to help sell hundreds of thousands of extra copies than it was originally going to. Capcom themselves is ready to cash-in on this idea as a few major Capcom identities will be entering the world of Lost Planet 2.
Even though you’ll be playing as different characters throughout Capcom’s Lost Planet 2, Capcom did more than just super size the sequel to the original hit title, as the storyline is going to be a major focus for the game and the newest trailer lays out the story for you. Will you fight to save E.D.N. III or Let the vile military force known as NEVEC drain the planet of its life force? When Lost Planet 2 made it’s appearance at the Sony’s E3 2009 press conference, it was already clear that the game was not a 360 exclusive. However, a previously held notion about the game’s release schedule proved to be false.
During Sony’s E3 conference Jack Trenton let go that Lost Planet 2 will in fact be coming to the PS3, and will hit store shelves in early 2010.
