Set in the 1940′s, L.A. Noire puts you in the shoes of Detective Cole Phelps, whose job it is to search for clues and interrogate witnesses while trying to solve cases ranging from Homicide to Arson. There are a total of 51 trophies to earn, consisting of 27 bronze, 10 silver, 3 gold and 1 platinum.

There are a total of 40 street crimes that can be accessed by pressing the “X” button as the case comes across your police scanner. You will only get these if you are driving a “police” car. These cases will become available at certain times of the day and will be unlocked as you progress further in the main story. Currently active street cases will be displayed on your map with a yellow icon that looks like a person running. The icon will turn white when the case is completed. There will also be red icons indicating available cases that have yet to be completed. You can check which cases are available to you be pressing “Start” and then using “L1″ and “R1″ to cycle through the cases. In order to get a  five star rating you will need to find all of the clues and get all of the questions correct. There is some room for error but to play it safe I would get everything. Since trophies were added to the PlayStation Network in July 2008, PlayStation 3 owners of all shapes and sizes have expressed interest in older games having trophies patched in. Metal Gear Solid 4 has been the most popular item of interest, but Resistance: Fall of Man, the game that got the PS3 rolling into the next-generation, has been a major target as well. Now Insomniac Games has commented on the matter, and unfortunately it’s only bad news.

The PlayStation community showed a large amount of interest in retrospective trophies for Resistance: Fall of Man after the exciting Resistance bundle was announced. Senior community manager James Stevenson of Insomniac Games had the following to share:

Not nearly as easy as you think (involving re-opening long dormant code, assigning people to it, testing it, sending it through certification, etc etc) – meanwhile, all of those resources code, and are being used to make Resistance 3 the best game possible

After being called lazy, Stevenson replied:

It’s not lazy at all. The amount of resources to patch a AAA release, especially when you are talking massive cross-game trophy functionality, is much larger then something like a small downloadable title.

If it was at all feasible, we would do it. It would significantly take from Resistance 3, therefore we will not do it.

It’s probably accurate to say that the same applies to other games on the “please trophy patch” list. However, what about once the current project is finished? It’d be difficult for me to believe that all of the resources available are instantly moved to a new project and/or DLC. Trophy patches draw attention to not only a game, but the series as well, so here’s to hoping that Insomniac Games and other developers can find some spare time in their busy schedules to show trophy love.

Killzone 3 is the follow up to Guerrilla Games’ 2009 smash hit Killzone 2, with the story picking up right where Killzone 2 left off. The Helghan leader is dead and the ISA are retreating. Unfortunately, the Helghast have other plans. With the addition of PlayStation Move functionality the game takes on a whole new feel. There are 52 trophies to collect which consist of 44 bronze, 4 silver, 3 gold and 1 platinum.

Note 1: This guide assumes that you are playing with the Alternate controller setup.
Note 2: For the purposes of this guide, the hidden trophies will not be hidden.

Platinum (Platinum) - Collect all Killzone 3 trophies.

Collect all other trophies in the game.

Ready For Battle – Complete weapons training (Bronze) – Complete weapons training in Prologue.

A few minutes into the first chapter you will be required to complete Helghan Weapons training. Once completed the trophy will unlock.

In your Face – First Brutal Melee (Bronze) - Performed first Brutal Melee move.

See Hand To Hand Master – Kill 50 Helghast using Brutal Melee.

Time For A Dip – Reach the river (Bronze) - Reached the Corinth River with the convoy.

This is story related and can’t be missed. You will get this at the end of chapter 2.

No Witnesses – Destroy all dropships on the Highway (Bronze) – Destroyed all dropships on the Highway.

This will be in chapter 2. Shortly after watching the cut-scene where Sev and Rico watch three Helghast collecting green energy, you will come to a fight with two mounted miniguns. make sure you grab one of them by pressing “triangle” and take it with you. You will need it to take out the dropships. Eventually you will meet back up with Narville and the convoy. From this point you will need to follow the Exo across a bridge. This bridge will be where the dropships start coming. There will be four of them in total.

1. Dropship #1 will show up right after the Exo takes out the Helghan Carrier. The dropship will hover above the first bridge.
2. Dropship #2 will appear a little further down the road. There will be a roadblock with Helgan soldiers on the left in a broken down building. After you kill a few of them the dropship will appear over the road.
3. Dropship #3 & #4 will both appear after the convoy clears the roadblock. They will appear at the same time and will fly off one right after the other so you will need to be quick. They will fly off towards the left.

Mopping Up – Kill 40 Helghast foot soldiers (Bronze) - Killed 40 or more Helghast foot soldiers on the beach.

This will be in Senlin Beach on chapter 3. At the start of the mission your vehicle will make its way down the beach while driving through a path of debris and buildings. After a couple turns you will come to a building at the end of the path with a bunch of enemies. Kill all of these enemies before you move on. Your vehicle will then turn right and go forward a bit. At this point you will see two areas with enemies and sandbags. There will also be a tank on the left that will drop off a few enemies. Clear the area of all enemies before you move on. You will then make your way around to the left. There will be some enemy soldiers on the left side as you go around the bend. There will be two gun nests with enemy soldiers running on a walkway above them next. After this you will make your way to the final area. In this area you will be right next to the water. There will be two AA guns and two dropships. Take these out as quick as you can and then clear out all of the ground troops in this area. By the time you leave this area you should have killed enough enemies to unlock the trophy. If not then just reload the chapter and try again.

Sawn Off – Destroy all chasing APCs (Bronze) – Destroyed all chasing SawBlade APCs in the Senlin Beach section.

This will also be in Senlin Beach on chapter 3. Shortly after you take out the AA guns and dropships for the “Mopping Up” trophy you will begin to be chased by enemy APCs. These APCs will try and run into the back of your vehicle. You will need to take out every single one of these to unlock the trophy. Keep your gun aimed behind you the whole time as there are no other enemies to worry about in this area. Focus all of your fire on the APCs.

Smoking Wrecks – Destroy all Tanks on Senlin Beach (Bronze) – Destroyed all the Helghast Tanks in the Senlin Beach section.

This will also be in Senlin Beach on chapter 3. This is the same as “Sawn Off” except this time around you will want to take out every single tank you see. These tanks will mostly be stationary with ground troops around them.

Save The Intruders – Arc APCs destroyed (Bronze) – Successfully assisted with defeating the Arc APCs.

This is story related and can’t be missed. You will get this at the end of chapter 3.

Turn the Tables – Melee Kill a Capture Trooper (Bronze) – Killed a Capture Trooper using melee.

Capture Troopers are the the ones that have knives on their hands. They first appear near the end of the Jungle in chapter 4. These will be the enemies that run towards you without shooting at you.

Spiky Personality – Kill a Helghast using a Burster (Bronze) -  Killed a Helghast by shooting a Burster plant.

At the beginning of chapter 4 you will be following a fellow ISA soldier around the jungle. At one point he will tell you to shoot a burster plant to take out an enemy. Do as he says and the trophy will unlock.

Never There – Sneak past Helghast (Bronze) – Sneak past all Helghast in the Jungle without alerting any of them.

Make your way through the jungle at the beginning of chapter 4 without alerting any of the enemy soldiers. You will start out by following a fellow ISA soldier. He will show you the ropes of sneaking around the jungle. The trophy will unlock after you reach the the communication station. Here are some tips to help you out:

1. Take your time
2. Stick to the shadows
3. Use burster plants whenever possible
4. Always kill by head shot
5. Use the grass as cover whenever possible

ISA TV – Establish communications (Bronze) – Made contact with Earth.

This is story related and can’t be missed. You will get this at the end of chapter 4.

Minigunned – Destroy all targets (Bronze) – Destroy everything while using the Minigun on the Intruder.

This will be at the beginning of chapter 5. You will start off on an intruder with Rico. Your objective will be to clear off a couple rigs and destroy pretty much everything in sight. While doing this you will see various pipes all over the rig. Most of these pipes will have a blue tint to them, almost alike a blue light. You will need to shoot every one of these blue pipes in order to unlock the trophy. There are three different types of objects to destroy. The first is a blue glass like section of pipe that are located between the rig and the water. You can’t miss them. The second are horizontal pipes coming off the center of the rig on top. The third type are huge upright sections that kind of resemble a silo. You will use “R1″ to shoot and “L1″ to zoom in. The trophy will unlock after you have destroyed the two dropships at the end of the section. If you miss any just reload the chapter and try again.

Aerial Superiority – Kill 5 Helghast while in the air (Bronze) - Killed 5 Helghast while airborne using the Jetpack.

At the beginning of the Akmir Rig section of chapter 5 Sev will strap on a jet pack. You will then use the jet pack to navigate the rest of the section. While using the jet pack you can press “L2″ to use the thrusters. You can also press “X” while airborne to give yourself a slight boost. You will have a mounted gun that you can fire by pressing “R1″ Kill five enemies throughout the rest of the level while airborne to unlock the trophy.

Quick Exit – Escape the Oil Rig quickly (Bronze) – Got off the 2nd Rig within 2 minutes.

Once you reach the second rig in the Nilfrost Rig section of chapter 5 you will have to set two charges on the base of the rig. Once you set the charges you will have a little over three minutes to escape the rig before it explodes. Escape in under two minutes to unlock the trophy.

Into The Lair – Reach the cable car (Bronze) - Reached the cable car and gained access to Stahl Arms South.

This is story related and can’t be missed. You will get this at the end of chapter 5.

Jail Break – Liberate Narville (Bronze) – Liberated Narville from Stahl Arms South.

This is story related and can’t be missed. You will get this during chapter 6.

Go Down And Stay Down – Destroy the ATAC (Bronze) – Defeated the ATAC outside the Stahl Arms facility.

This is story related and can’t be missed. You will get this during chapter 6.

Shattered – Destroy all glass in the Labs (Bronze) – Destroyed all glass panels in the Stahl Arms South laboratories.

This will be in chapter 6 after you rescue Narville. There are a total of 79 panes of glass to break. The glass panes are green with the a white triangle-shaped symbol in the middle of them. They are also on a small black base attached to the floor that will remain there after you shatter the glass. The glass panes are scattered throughout  five different rooms.

• Room #1 – This is the room where Narville is held. Once you free Narville you will need to clear out the room and head into the next room. There are no glass panes in this room.
• Room #2 – This room will have 11 glass panes to destroy. They will all be located in the center of the room.
• Room #3 – This room is the refrigerated room. There are 4 glass panes in this room. You can’t miss them.
• Room #4 – This room has a set of stairs and there are no glass panes in here.
• Room #5 – This room contains 64 glass panes. These are scattered all over the room. There are glass panes on the outer walls and around the center walls. There are also glass panes on the upper level above where you start in the room.

Iced – Destroy all Ice-Saws and Dropships (Bronze) – Destroy all 4 Helghast Ice-Saws and all 6 Dropships.

At the end of chapter 6 you will be driving an ice vehicle as you escape Stahl Arms. As you make your escape  you will be met with 4 Helghast Ice-Saws and 6 dropships. You will be able to fire on them using “R1″ for guns and “R2″ for homing missiles. As soon as you see an enemy vehicle in your path spam the “R2″ button until it is destroyed. Do this for every Ice-Saw and dropship, and the trophy will unlock at the end of the chapter.

Pinpoint – Kill the Heavy with an StA-14 (Bronze) – Killed the Heavy using the StA-14 rifle.

About halfway through chapter 7 you will come across a Heavy with a mini-gun. You will need to kill it with the StA-14 Rifle to unlock the trophy. Luckily, there is one sitting on a gun rack right before you get to the Heavy. Make sure to grab it before you trigger the cut-scene as you wont be able to go back for it after.

You Drive – Drive the Mobile Factory (Bronze) – Took over the controls of the Mobile Factory.

This is story related and can’t be missed. You will get this at the end of chapter 7.

Bring It Down – Defeat the MAWLR (Bronze) – Defeated the MAWLR defending the Space Elevator.

This is story related and can’t be missed. you will get this at the end of chapter 8.

Completist – Destroy everything on the MAWLR (Bronze) – Destroyed every destructible weapon on the MAWLR while on foot and on the Intruder.

In the middle of chapter 8 you will have to take out a number of points on the MAWLR from the ground. You will be given plenty of WASP ammo to do the job. Once you take out everything on foot you will have to take out more objects form the gun on an intruder. You will need to destroy everything that can be destroyed to get the trophy. Killzone 3 will be dropping down before you know it, but as soon as you get your copy you’ll have a quick patch to update the game. What could it possibly be? Some of it at least, is the bling-bling.

A patch was JUST released, 1.02, and it will be available as soon as you put in your Blu-Ray disc. The open beta that just finished last week, and all the information it provided for Guerilla Games was obviously put to good use. That was quite a quick turnaround though, so maybe this patch was to prepare the game for it’s Retro Map Pack, which you got for pre-ordering Killzone 3, regardless of if it was the standard or Helghast Edition.

After hearing of the patch from JustPushStart, I updated PlayStation LifeStyle’s copy of Killzone 3 and was able to see the update’s new trophies! These trophies are part of the “Reclaimed Territory” DLC, and includes new seven trophies, bringing the total up to 59. Here is the list:

When you meet the Illusive Man for the first time you will be given a dossiers for the first group of recruitable squad members. The game will recommend that you travel to Omega first to recruit Mordin Solus and Garrus. You can do them in any order though. When you land on a planet with a recruitable squad member you will be given a mission. Complete the mission to recruit that squad member and receive the trophy.

Note: “The Krogan” will unlock once you go into the cargo hold and free Grunt from the tank.

When you meet the Illusive Man for the second time you will be given a dossiers for the second group of recruitable squad members.  You can recruit them in any order. Just like the first group, you will receive the trophy after completing the mission you are given.

Colony Defense (Bronze) - Defend a human colony from attack.

You will receive this mission from the Illusive Man after recruiting the first four squad members.

The latest MMO from Sony Online Entertainment, and their first on the PS3, DC Universe Online is set in the world of the DC Comic Book Super Heroes. Unlike most games, the title has no bronze trophies and instead has 3 silver, 10 gold and 1 platinum.

Winner Takes All (Platinum) – Acquire all hero and villain trophies in the classic game.

Earn every trophy in the game.

Criminal Mastermind (Gold) – Achieve level 30 as a villain mentored by Lex Luthor.

When you create your character choose to be a villain and pick Lex Luthor as your mentor. Play the game until you reach level 30 and the trophy is yours.

The Joker in the Deck (Gold) – Achieve level 30 as a villain mentored by the Joker.

When you create your character choose to be a villain and pick Joker as your mentor. Play the game until you reach level 30 and the trophy is yours.

Platinum Pace (Gold) – Earn a platinum medal in any race.

After you create your character you will have to play through the tutorial level. Once done with the tutorial level you will find yourself inside a nightclub. Leave the night club and go across the street. You should find a glowing circle on the ground. Go over to it and hit the button displayed on the screen to begin the race. Once the race starts you will have to make your way through a series of rings and come in under a certain time. Finish the race under the Platinum time for the trophy.

Sports Champions is one of the biggest PlayStation Move launch titles, being bundled with all Starter Packs in North America, and sold separately in the rest of the world. It features a collection of different sports ranging from Table Tennis to Archery, each of which have their own individual trophies to earn. There are 43 trophies to collect including 30 bronze, 9 silver, 3 gold and 1 platinum.

Living Legend (Platinum) – Congratulations! You are a true CHAMPION.

Earn all other trophies in the game.

I Can Throw A Disc (Bronze) – Win a Disc Golf match in any mode.

Win a game of Disc Golf in any mode.

Ace! (Bronze) – Get a hole-in-one in Disc Golf.

This is easiest to do on the very first hole in the Bronze Cup match against Jackson. Just keep practicing until you get it.

My Aim Is True (Bronze) – Get a score of 5000 or better in Disc Golf Challenge Mode.

Go to Disc Golf and choose Challenge Mode. There will be three stages which will add up to your final score. You will build up a multiplier by not missing the rings. You will want to get your multiplier up near 8x. You should try to aim for around 3000+ points in Stage 1 and around 1,500 points in the final two stages. Remember to keep your Disc level and not to throw it too hard. Release the “T” button when the Move controller is pointing at your target.

Fore! (Bronze) – Toss 20 discs close enough to an opponent in Disc Golf to make them get out of the way in Champion’s Cup.

Choose any match in the Disc Golf Champion’s Cup. Wait for your opponent to take their turn. Once it’s your turn again aim your Disc as close to your opponent as you can using the “Move” button to move you character. Throw your Disc at them and it will cause them to move out of the way. As long as you are always the furthest away, you will get to keep throwing your Disc. You will automatically lose after ten shots so you should be able to get anywhere from 5-10 “Fore!” throws per match. Just rinse and repeat until you get the trophy.

All Too Easy … (Silver) – Shoot a score of -10 or better over the full 18 hole course in Disc Golf.

Get lots of practice in Disc Golf as this will be a challenging trophy. Then go to Free Play and select stroke play. Select “Full Course – 18 Holes”.  select 1 player and then choose “No” when it asks if you want to play against a CPU opponent. Play as Giselle. At this point you will be ready to play. You will need to finish the hole in less shots than the Par score for that hole. You can see the par score in the upper right corner of the screen. I would shoot for a score of at least -5 on the first nine holes. If you can get a hole in one that will help out a bunch. You can check your score by pressing “triangle” in between holes. Finish the 18 holes with a score of -10 or better to get the trophy.

I Hit Someone (Bronze) – Win a Gladiator Duel match in any mode.

Win a Gladiator Duel match in any mode.

King Of The Ring (Bronze) – Win 30 matches in Gladiator Duel by knocking your opponent out of the ring in Champion’s Cup.

You don’t actually have to win the match for it to count towards the trophy. You just have to knock your opponent out of the ring during the match. This means that you can earn one “ring out” for every round you play if you knock your opponent out of the ring each time. The fastest way to do this is to play the first match in the Bronze Cup over and over until you get it. Play as Rin and hold up your shield with the “T” button.  When you see your opponent is about to swing dodge to the left and swing at the same time. This will cause them to fall down. Then perform a jumping attack while they are on the ground. As soon as they get up, bash them with your shield until you knock them out of the ring.

Man Or Machine? (Bronze) – Get a score of 15,000 or better in Gladiator Duel Challenge Mode.

Go to Gladiator Duel and choose Challenge Mode. Hit the red areas and build your multiplier by hitting your opponent and block or parry sword attacks. There are three rounds which will add up to your total score. You should aim for around 4,000 in round one, around 1,700 in round two and around 4,000 in round three.

Super Parry! (Bronze) – Successfully parry (block using JUST your weapon) a “Super Strike” attempt against all 10 opponents in Gladiator Duel playing in Champion’s Cup.

Choose Gladiator Duel and go to Champion’s Cup. Play as Rin. Skip the first two matches and start with the third match in the Bronze Cup (Belle).  While fighting belle make sure you only hit her on her shield. After a few hits on her shield you will give her a “Super Strike”. Her weapon will start flashing blue. When she activates it her weapon will turn solid blue. At this point you should hold your shield up and to the left. You should also hold your sword sideways and wait for her to attack. Her “Super Strike” will fail and you will get credit for successfully performing a “Super Parry”.

Repeat this for the seven remaining matches in the Bronze Cup and then the first two matches in the Silver Cup.

Super Striker! (Silver) – Complete 50 “Super Strikes” in Gladiator Duel playing in Champion’s Cup.

Go to Gladiator Duel and choose Champion’s Cup. This will be easiest to do in the first Bronze Cup. If you play a three round match you should be able to get about 3-4 Super Strikes per round for a total of 9-12 per match. To get a Super Strike you will need to try and block all of your opponents attacks with your sword until you Super Strike meter is full. Blocking with your sword will fill the meter twice as fast as your shield.  Once the meter is full then use your Super Strike. Repeat this as many times as you can until the match is over. Then replay the match until you get the trophy.

To speed things up always go back to the main menu instead of hitting the “Retry” button after finishing a game. Human 1 – Machine 0 (Silver) – In any sport, win a match against the computer with the computer scoring zero points.

Win a match without the computer scoring a point.  This is very easy to do in a badminton match.

Playing with the big boys (Silver) – Win 25 online ranked matches.

Win 25 ranked online matches.

Have a tissue, pal! (Silver) – Win an online match in which your opponent scores zero points (official matches only).

Win an online match without your opponent scoring a point.  This must be done in a ranked match and not with a friend.

Winning streak (Silver) – In training mode, achieve a longest series record of at least 10 in every sport.

In each sport in training mode you will have to try and hit your shot into the highlighted square.  Make ten successful shots in a row in each sport for this trophy.

Split/Second is an arcade style racing game that allows players to use environmental explosions to destroy their opponents and open up new routes on the race track.  It has 31 Bronze, 13 Silver, 2 Gold, and of course 1 Platinum trophy.  Follow our guide to get them all.

Completionist (Platinum) – Awarded to players who have earned every other trophy.

Earn all 46 other trophies.

Winner (Bronze) - Win a round of the Season Championship.

Complete the first episode of the single player season.  Each episode consists of 6 events, with one bonus event and one elite event.  Completing the elite event in 3rd place or better wins the round.

Qualifier (Bronze) - Qualify for the first round of the Season Championship.

Complete the first event in the season.

Survivor (Bronze) - Complete round six of the Season Championship.

There are 12 episodes in the Season Championship.  Completing episode six marks the halfway point.  Again, you need only complete the elite event for this to count.

Made the Podium (Silver) – Complete the Season Championship.

Complete all 12 episodes of the Season Championship (complete the last elite race).

Season Champion (Silver) – Complete the Season Championship in first place.

This trophy requires that your total points standing in the elite races is in first after completing all 12 elite races.  You do not need to actually be first in all 12 races.

Perfection (Gold) – Complete every event and Season Championship in first place.

This requires a first place standing in every offline event.  You can return to any event at any time, but it may be easiest to go for the gold on each event as soon as they are unlocked.  Enemy cars and AI appear to improve throughout all events as you progress in the season, so despite having better vehicles you will also have stiffer competition.  Either way, the detonator events are generally the most difficult, since the first place time leaves no room for error.  If you’re having trouble with these, try to avoid drifting since you will usually lose a lot of speed, memorize where all the obstacles are at, and try to take wide turns to avoid slowing down unless absolutely necessary.

Right On Track (Bronze) – Win your first Bonus Round.

Moving Ahead (Bronze) – Win 6 Bonus Rounds.

Leading The Way (Silver) – Win every Bonus Round.

Each episode contains a bonus event that is unlocked by completing a certain task, usually wrecking a certain number of opponents.  The requirement can be viewed by highlighting the locked event.  Complete all 12 events with a first place time to get this trophy.

Race Winner (Bronze) - Win your first Race event.

Get first place in any race event in the season.

Untouchable (Bronze) – Win a Race event without crashing.

This is pretty easy, but if you’re having trouble go to quick play, set it on easy difficulty, and select a truck or other vehicle that’s relatively strong so its harder for enemies to take you out.  Getting a strong lead in the beginning is a big help, since you will then be out of range of the enemies’ power plays.

Split/Second (Bronze) – Win a Race event by less than a second.

This should come naturally as you play the season.  Try to match the pace of the second place opponent, and have their front bumper even with the center of your car as you cross the finish.

Eliminator (Bronze) – Win your first Elimination event.

Place first in any elimination event.

Eliminator Efficiency (Bronze) – Win an Elimination event by being in 1st place at each elimination.

Go to quick play, set the game on easy mode, and grab your favorite vehicle.  Get a strong lead right away and try to maintain speed as much as possible by avoiding long drifts.  Try to keep a power play in reserve in case someone passes you.

Rope A Dope (Bronze) – With 5 seconds or less on the clock, escape from last place and certain elimination.

Simply stay next to the second last player until the timer gets low, and overtake them as soon as you see there’s five seconds left.  With 7 chances per race, this should come naturally at some point any way.

Power Up (Bronze) – Trigger your first Level 1 Power Play.

Trigger any power play at any time.  Build up power by drafting (following closely behind an opponent to gain speed), drifting (apply the brakes briefly as you turn, and punch the gas when you start to slide), or getting air time by going off a ramp.  Once a blue bar is full you will see blue icons over your opponents.  Press X when these appear to trigger the power play.

I Have The Power (Bronze) – Trigger your first Level 2 Power Play.

You can have up to three bars of power at any one time.  When you have all three bars filled the last one will be red, and red icons will appear over your enemies at certain points in the race.  Press Circle when you see these red icons to activate a level 2 power play.

Follow Me (Bronze) – In an event, change the track twice with a Route Changer Power Play.

Route changer power plays require that the red power play bar is filled to use them, and are indicated on screen by an upwards pointing arrow in a red hexagon.  The three tracks that have more than one route change are the Airport Terminal (3 route changers), Dry Docks (3 route changers), and Ferry Wharf (2 route changers).  I found this easiest on the Airport Terminal by using the Cobretti Pursuit or another car that likes to drift a lot, and just drifting on every turn to build up power before the route changes.

Bully (Silver) – In an event, wreck every rival with a Power Play.

Lag behind in the beginning of the event, drifting and drafting to build power.  Once you have the first bar filled, start working your way up the ranks by wrecking each opponent on the way.  Level 2 power plays really help here, since if timed properly they can wipe out half your opponents.

Cheapskate (Bronze) - Use a shortcut that a rival has triggered.

Just follow someone closely whenever you’re near a shortcut.  AI rivals will almost always activate them if they’re able to (this is a great way to take shortcuts and save your power to wreck them afterward!).

Better Luck Next Time (Bronze) – Get wrecked by a shortcut that a rival has triggered.

This will probably happen while you’re trying to get “Cheapskate”.   You could also do this on purpose by slowing down a little near an activate one, and punching the gas into it as soon as it closes.

Zero To Hero (Bronze) - Use a route changer to go from 8th to 1st place.

This requires a bit of luck and timing.  In quick play on easy mode the pack tends to stay closer together, so that may make it easier to get past them all.  I found it easiest to do this on Canyon, by triggering the route changer at the dam on my second lap.  It is a great shortcut, and destroys most of the competition in front of you at the same time.

Rock Band 3 is the latest installment into the Rock Band franchise.  This new addition introduces the Keyboard, Pro Guitar/Bass, Pro Drums and Vocal Harmonies.  There are a total of 50 trophies to earn including 33 bronze, 15 silver, 1 gold and 1 platinum.

Rock Band 3 Completionist (Platinum) – Won all Rock Band 3 trophies.

Earn all other trophies in the game.

Tune Up (Bronze) – Calibrated your system for optimal performance with Rock band 3.

Calibrate your audio and video settings.

Self-Made Dude or Lady (Bronze) – Created a Character.

Create you own character.

Best. Name. Ever. (Bronze) – Renamed your Band.

Create a band and change the name from the one given to you.

The Endless Setlist III (Gold) – Successfully completed “The Endless Setlist III”!

The endless setlist can be completed at any time by going to “Play Now” and choosing to play a setlist.  There are 83 songs that you will have to complete in order to get the trophy.  You can pause the game or even change instruments if you need a break.  Just make sure you don’t exit back to the menu or you will have to start over again.

You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet (Bronze) – Maintained overdrive for 60 seconds.

This should come pretty easy over time by just playing naturally. Fill up your entire overdrive bar and then deploy it.  Try to chain your overdrive with your band members so that there is a constant overdrive.  Chances are you will hit more white notes during your overdrive and will be able to extend it a little bit.

Millionaire Club (Bronze) – Got 1,0o0,000 on one song.

This will require you to play with a 4 member band.  The higher difficulty you play at the better chance you will have at getting to 1 million points.  Try to keep your multiplier up and chain your overdrive together to keep them going as long as possible.

Rock Band Master (Bronze) – 5 Starred on Medium (or 3 Starred on a higher difficulty) 50 Rock Band 3 songs.

Earn 5 stars on 50 different songs at medium difficulty of higher.  If you are playing on either hard or expert difficulty you only need to earn 3 stars for that song.

Note: This only counts for the songs that come on the Rock band 3 disc.

Rock Band Legend (Silver) – 5 Star every song in Rock Band 3 on Hard.

Earn 5 stars on every son on the Rock Band 3 disc while playing on hard.

Rock Band Immortal (Silver) – 5 Starred the Rock Band 3 disc on Expert.

Earn 5 stars on every song on the Rock Band 3 disc while playing on expert.

Alex’s luggage Combination (Bronze) – Beat a Rock band 3 score of 12,345,678.

Earn a total score of 12,345,678 over the course of your career to earn this trophy.  This will come easily over time.

Hometown Threwdown (Bronze) – Completed the “Hometown Throwdown” Road Challenge.

While playing each song during the road challenges you will need to complete objectives to earn spades.  You can earn a total of 5 spades and 5 stars.  At the end of your setlist your stars will be turned into spades which gives you a total of 10 possible spades per song.  Earn 90 of them during the “The European Connoisseur” road challenge to get this trophy.

Mile High Club (Bronze) – Completed the “Really Frequent Flyers” Road Challenge.

Play all of the songs in each stop of the road challenge to get this trophy.

Ultimate Road Warrior (Silver) – Won all awards on the “Really Frequent Flyers” Road Challenge.

You will win awards by earning spades.  Earn the max amount of spades to earn all awards.

HOPO-cidal Maniac (Silver) – Killed 53,596 Hammer-ons and Pull-offs.

Successfully hit a total of 53,596 of any combination of hammer-ons and pull-offs during your career to earn this trophy.

Drum Roll, Please! (Bronze) – Nailed a drum roll.

Successfully complete a drum roll.  Drum rolls only appear on pro drums while playing on expert difficulty.  They will be the notes that are grouped together in an outline.

Faster Feet (Bronze) – Hit 90% of the Kick notes in a song on Hard Drums.

Hit 90% of the kick notes in any song while playing drums on hard.

Note: This must be on regular drums and not pro drums.

Drums Apprentice (Silver) – 5 Starred on Easy Drums (or 3 Starred on a higher difficulty) 25 Rock band 3 songs.

Percussion sections are when you have to tap the mic against your hand.  Hit 100% of the notes in a percussion section to get the trophy.

Vocal Virtuoso (Bronze) – Earn an Awesome rating on at least 90% of the phrases in 6 songs on Hard Vocals.

Earn an awesome rating on at least 90% of the phrases in six different songs on vocals while playing on hard.

Vocal Apprentice (Bronze) – 5 Starred on Easy Vocals (or 3 Starred a higher difficulty) 25 Rock Band 3 songs.

The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest is the latest game in the Lord of the Rings series and the first featuring PlayStation Move support.  Aragorn’s Quest includes 30 trophies to collect consisting of 9 bronze, 15 silver, 5 gold and the platinum trophy.

Own Them All (Platinum) – All Trophies Collected.

Earn all other trophies in the game.

No Friend of Goblins (Bronze) – Defeat 100 Goblins.

This will come naturally during the game.  Probably during the first level.

No Friend of Orcs (Bronze) – Defeat 100 Orcs.

This will come naturally during the game.  Probably during the second level.

The Fellowship (Gold) – Collect all the Fellowship Tokens.

There collectibles scattered throughout each chapter.  If you find the Palntir you will be able to see the whole region and where they  are located.  Here are some maps that will help.

Expert in Lore (Silver) – Collect all lore items.

Meanderer (Gold) – Complete all the side quests.

While playing each chapter do every quest you come across.  Make sure you go back to the Shire between chapters and do all the side quests that are available.  If you are missing any quests after you finish the chapter you will have to redo all of the quests for that chapter.  not just the ones you missed.  Shire side quests don’t matter for this trophy but you will still want to finish them as you get them.

No More Trolling (Bronze) – Defeat your first Hill-troll.

You will fight plenty of these during the game.  The first one is near the end of the first level.

No Friends of Uruks (Bronze) – Defeat 100 Uruks.

This will naturally during the game.  If you haven’t got it by the end you can just re-play “The Black Gate” until you reach 100.

Middle-earth Extermination (Bronze) – Defeat 1000 Enemies.

See Middle-earth Annihilation.

Middle-earth Annihilation (Silver) – Defeat 2500 Enemies.

This trophy can be a pain as it requires some grinding.  A good place to get this is in “The Black Gate” as there are enemies of all races there.  You can also get unlimited arrows from the arrow rack.  you should be able to get around 200 kills each time you play the chapter.  Rinse and repeat until you get all the kill trophies.

Oliphaunt Tamed! (Silver) – Defeat 8 Oliphaunts.

At the end of the “Pelennor Fields” chapter you will have to kill 8 Oliphaunts.

Bow Selector (Silver) – Defeat 250 enemies with Bow.

You got it! (Bronze) – Perform an icon Strike.

An Icon Strike is when you see an arrow over an enemy’s head.  You will get this at the sword stall in the Shire at the beginning of the game.

You’ve really got It (Silver) – 5 consecutive Icon Strikes.

Use five straight Icon Strikes.  This can be done easily by re-playing the sword stall game in the Shire.

You Been Working Out? (Bronze) – Perform 5000 sword swipes.

Swing your sword and hit enemies 5000 times.  You will get this while going for Middle-earth Annihilation.

Banker (Silver) – 1000 silver coins acquired.

You will get silver coins by killing enemies and completing side quests.  You may also find chests with coins in them by breaking boxes throughout the game.  Some people have not received this trophy right at 1000 coins.  If this happens just keep collecting coins and the trophy will pop up shortly.

It Did Not Pass (Gold) – Defeat the Balrog.

This is story related and can’t be missed.

Tree Hugger (Silver) – Defend the Ent.

Story related and can’t be missed.

Not By The Hand of Man (Silver) – Defeat the Witch-king.

Story related and can’t be missed.

Shoot the Messenger (Silver) – Defeat the Mouth of Sauron.

Story related and can’t be missed.

Which King? (Silver) – Defeat the Witch-king without taking damage.

You will fight the Witch-king near the end of the “Pelennor Fields” chapter.  If you get hit just reload the chapter and try again.  Here are a few tips to help out:

• Make sure your sword ability bar is full before the fight.
• Use mostly “Phail of Galadriel” as it does more damage.
• If your sword ability bar is full it will take away 40% of his health.

A New Champion (Silver) – Defeat the Uruk champion without taking damage.

You will fight the Uruk champion near the end of the “Pelennor Fields” chapter.  If you get hit just reload the chapter and try again.  Here are a few tips to help out:

• Make sure your sword ability bar is full before the fight.
• Wait for him to charge/attack you then counter attack him.
• If your sword ability bar is full it will take away 50% of his health.
• If your soldiers kill him you will still get the trophy.

Rule Them All (Silver) – Defeat Black Riders/Nazgul.

This is story related and can’t be missed.

Accomplishment (Silver) – Acquire all the upgrades.

These are weapons and armor you get at various points in the game.  Here is a list of all the upgrades and where to find them:

• Crown of Gondor – You will get this after finishing the last level.
• Chain Vest – This will automatically change depending on level.
• Anduril - You will get this automatically during the story.
• Chain Strike – You will get this automatically during the story.
• Heavy Strike – You will get this automatically during the story.
• Battle Cry – You will get this automatically during the story.
• Bow of Galadrhim – You will get this automatically during the story.
• Shield of Thoeden – Kill all scouts in Rohan. (Side Quest)
• Shield of Gondor – You will get this after finishing the last level.
• Phail of Galadriel – Save the captain by killing all the enemies in Fangorn Forest.
• Thoeden’s Spear – Collect 5 horses in Rohan. (Side Quest)
• Horn of Gondor – You will get this automatically during the story.
• Rally – You willl get this automatically during the story.
• Bow of Glorfindal – In a large chest next to a feathers the left of Eowyn in Helm’s Deep.
• Balin’s Axe – In a chest at the back of the room where Balin’s tomb is at.
• Thorin’s Shield – You will get this automatically during the story.

Stall Owner (Silver) – All stalls 100% complete.

There are 5 stalls are located in the Shire.  To complete a stall you must continue to win until the stall worker stops paying you.

Fun Guy (Bronze) – Completed Button Mushroom quest.

This quest can be found in the Shire.  If you do the Gardening quest you will get this quest near the end of it.  There are a total of 12 mushrooms to find.  They will be all around the Shire near trees, bushes and rocks.

Pest Control (Bronze) – Complete Crow Hunting quest.

this quest can be found in the Shire.  The final part of this quest is to find 10 crow feathers.  You can find crows flying all around in the Shire.  You will be able to find the feathers where they are flying.

Child’s Play (Silver) – Complete all the imaginary quests in the woods.

The imaginary quests are unlocked as you progress through the story.  Complete them all for the trophy.

The Key to the Shire (Gold) – Complete the Shire.

To complete the Shire you will need to complete all quests at the Shire.  This includes the Stalls, Feathers, Treasures, Mushrooms and Imaginary Quests.

A True King (Gold) – Game Complete.

Finish the story to get this trophy.

Fallout: New Vegas is the follow-up to the 2008 Game of the Year Fallout 3. Fallout: New Vegas has a total of 51 trophies consisting of 36 bronze, 13 silver, 1 gold and the platinum. Use our guide to help you get that coveted platinum trophy.

Note – Trophies may contain spoilers.

Platinum Trophy (Platinum) – Collect all other 50 Trophies for this Trophy.

Collect all 50 trophies.

New Kid (Bronze) – Reach 10th level.

Reach level 10. This will come naturally.

Up and Comer (Silver) – Reach 20th level.

Reach level 20. This will come naturally.

The Boss (Silver) – Reach 30th level.

Reach level 30. This will come naturally.

Ol’ Buddy Ol’ Pal (Bronze) – Recruit any companion.

There are a total of eight companions that you can recruit. There are six people and two robots. You are able to have one robot and one person with you at the same time but not two robots or two people. You will have to complete some side quests before you can recruit a couple of your companions. The locations for all the companions are as follows:

• ED-E – He is on the counter inside the Mojave Express Courier in the town of Primm.
• Rex – He will be next to The King inside The King’s School of Impersonation in Freeside just outside of the Strip.  You will need to complete the side quests “G.I. Blues” and ” Nothin’ But a Hound Dog” before you can recruit him.
• Arcade – He will be walking around inside Old Mormon Fort.
• Boone – He will be in the sniper post in the town of Novac if you visit at night.  To recruit him you will have to complete the side quest ” One for My Baby”.
• Cass – She is sitting at the bar inside the Mojave Outpost.  You can recruit her part way through the side quest “Heartache by the Number”.
• Lily – You can recruit her once you start the “Guess who I Saw Today” side quest from Dr. Henry.  She will be in the Brahmin pen outside of the lodge at Jacobstown.
• Raul – Free him from his locked room on Black Mountain during the side quest “Crazy, Crazy, Crazy”.
• Veronica – She is at the 188 Trading Post standing near the Slop & Shop.

Crafty (Bronze) – Craft 20 items.

Use a campfire, workbench or a reloading bench to create 20 items.

Mod Machine (Bronze) – Install 20 weapon mods.

Each weapon can hold up to three weapon mods. These can either be purchased or found throughout the Mojave. To install a weapon mod you need to open your Pip-Boy 3000 and go to the weapons screen. Once there hit “L2″ to bring up a list of available mods for that weapon. There are a number of vendors who sell weapon mods.

• Gibson Scrap Yard – Old Lady Gibson
• Gun Runners – Vendertron

Globe Trotter (Silver) – Discover all snow globes.

There are seven snow globes hidden throughout the game. These can all be obtained at any point in the game.

1. Jacobstown – This one is on the front desk as you enter the lobby of the lodge.
2. Old Mormon Fort – This one is on a bookshelf in Julie Farkas’s office in the western tower.
3. Lucky 38 Casino – This one is located behind a cash register in the Cocktail Lounge inside the Lucky 38.  You will have to take the elevator to reach it.
4. Vault 21 – This one is inside Sarah’s room inside Vault 21.
5. Nellis Air Force Base – Inside the Boomers  museum on a table in a corner.
6. Hoover Dam – This one is on the front desk inside the visitor center at the Hoover Dam.
7. Goodsprings Cemetary – This one is at the base of a gravestone near the water tower.

You Run Barter Town (Bronze) – Sell 10,000 caps worth of goods.

Sell everything you come across that you don’t need. You can keep track by looking at your stats page in your Pip-Boy 3000.

Blast Mastery (Bronze) – Cause 10,000 damage with Energy Weapons.

This will come naturally over time if you stick to mostly energy weapons. You can always speed up the process by playing on very easy difficulty as you will do 200% normal damage to enemies. This will drastically cut down your time on this trophy.
