I am not sure if the excitement has quite died down yet; Honestly, I doubt that it has. Who could honestly resist a chance to get to see Uncharted 2 and God of War III in-game footage. If you think you read that wrong, read here. Official confirmation of in-game footage looks something like this:

UNCHARTED 2. Nathan Drake is back for an entirely new adventure, and at the VGAs you’ll get a first-ever glimpse at this PlayStation 3 exclusive from Naughty Dog…again, it’s all real-time, in-engine action. No CG here.
I have never watched the Spike Video Game awards before. I usually have important things like finals to attend to. I still have finals, but I will have to sneak off and see the 3rd coming of Kratos and the 2nd coming of Drake. Releasing AAA titles from 1st party studios is likely the way of the industry going forward. With that being stated, Sony is clearly ahead of the curve. December 14th will be the day we get to see what’s next for us. I surely hope that there is a release window announced as well.
