It appears that things are looking up. I promise that I am not just saying that because Spring Break is coming. There are a few titles this week that more than make up for the low number of releases. Akira, one of the greatest anime EVER, is coming out. Ronin is being released as well. French Connection 2, one of my personal favorites, will be available in 1080p this week. There will documentaries, concerts, and a complete series. Vanishing Point and Sex Drive were kind enough to join the rest of the group and be released. Since I have this opportunity, will someone tell me if Sex Drive is on par with say…Superbad? It would really be appreciated.
That is not too shabby. To be honest though, the titles will really pick up in the second quarter of the year. This has really been an opportunity to pick up on what you have missed on previously. We’ll keep an eye out for a Blu-Deal or two. Release date info is courtesy of Blu-Ray.com.
