World at War is the latest edition to the popular Call of Duty franchise. Developed by Treyarch this game takes us back to WWII with an exciting single player campaign and an equally enjoyable multiplayer experience. New to the series is the addition of Nazi Zombie mode which is one of the most addictive game modes to come along in awhile. On top of all this Treyarch have included 45 trophies to collect. (1 Platinum, 2 Gold, 12 Silver, 30 Bronze)
Platinum (Platinum): Awarded when all other trophies have been unlocked.

-Complete the single player campaign on any difficulty.
Saved Private Ryan (Bronze): Save the soldier before he burns to death.
-Near the beginning of the ‘semper Fi’ level a burning Japanese soldier will burst out of a hut and run for a soldier named Ryan. Shoot him before he can set Ryan on fire. Roebuck will congratulate you and you will get the trophy.
Weapon of Mass Destruction (Bronze): Radio in a naval bombardment that kills at least 4 Japanese soldiers.
-At the beginning of the ‘Little resistance’ level you will be asked to call in a naval strike on the beachhead by hitting left on the D-pad and then selecting your target. Aim for an area with 4 or more Japanese soldiers. If you don’t get it there is another chance at the end of the level.
The Professional (Silver): Shoot all of Amsel’s henchmen, including their attack dog, without reloading. (Solo only)
-At the beginning of the ‘Vendetta’ level Reznov will ask you to take out General Amsel’s henchmen. They are the guys nest to the cars. When Reznov says shoot, take out the two guys on the right with a single shot. Then take out the two guys in the middle with another shot. Next take out the two guys on the left with one shot. Finally take out the last guy and the attack dog with one shot each.

Gunslinger (Silver): Assassinate General Amsel with a pistol shot. (Solo only)
-At the end of the ‘Vendetta’ you will come across a sniper in the building across from you. Once you take him out there should be a pistol lying on a table in the back of the room. Take the pistol with you. Once you get to the end where you have to snipe General Amsel take out his sniper that is on the ground with him. After you kill the sniper take out the pistol and aim for Amsel’s head. Keep shooting until you get it. I recomend doing this on a lwer difficulty stetting.

Lights Out! (Bronze): In ‘Black Cats’, blast out all of the spot lights in the Japanese cargo convoy. (Solo only)
-At the beginning of the ‘Black Cats’ level you will have to take out a cargo convoy. There are three cargo ships that you have to sink. each ship has a giant spot light on the front and back of the ship. You need to shoot all six spot lights until they explode.
Rough Economy (Bronze): Kill 3 enemies with a single round.
-Near the middle of the ‘Vendetta’ level you will come to a point where you are up high in a building and have to provide cover fire for you men down below. There will be two enemies standing next to each other with two more enemies walking around them. Wait for three of them to line up and shoot them all with one shot. Similar too how you took out two at a time for the “Professional” trophy.

Gaurdian Angel (Bronze): In the final battle for Okinawa, save Sergeant Roebuck.
-At the end of the ‘Breaking Point’ level Sergeant Roebuck will break down a door leading to the supply drop. As you exit the door you gun will be lowered and you will see three Japanese soldiers who are surrendering. A Roebuck and Petrosky approach it turns out to be a trap. As soon as your gun appears shoot the two enemies that are attacking Roebuck. Petrosky will not make it but you will save Roebuck.
Close Shave (Bronze): Survive a banzi attack. (Solo only)
-When a Japanese soldier makes a banzi charge at you either shoot or stab him before he can kill you. If you survive you will get the trophy.
Snake in the Grass (Bronze): Take out a Japanese soldier lying in wait in the grass.
-While playing the ‘Blowtorch and Corkscrew’ level japanese soldiers will hide in the grass. Look for large grass clearings and throw random grenades. You should get this with no trouble at all.
Grave Robber (Silver): Collect all Death Cards in the game. (Solo only)
-Locations of every Death Card are shown in the following videos.

No Safe Place (Bronze): Burn an enemy out of a tree with the flamethrower in ‘Hard Landing’.
-In the ‘Hard Landing’ level look for enemy soldiers hiding up in trees. When you come across one take him out with the blowtorch. You will have plenty of chances for this as there are quite a few enemies up in trees.
Throw a Six and a Half (Silver): On Hardened or Veteran difficulty, complete a level without dying. (Solo only)
-Complete any single player level on Hardened or Veteran difficulty without dying. I suggest playing the ‘Black Cat’s’ level on Hardened difficulty. Shoot the Uboats as quick as possible and do not worry about saving survivors.
Purple Heart (Bronze): When staring into the face of adversity, show courage and persevere.
-This is an odd trophy but it is very easy to get. You have to die ten times in a row without passing a checkpoint. Then after the tenth time make ite to the next chckpoint to unlock the trophy.
Firestarter (Silver): Complete a level using only the flamethrower. Melee, grenades & explosives are OK.
-Play through the ‘Burn ’em Out’ level on Recruit difficulty and use only the blowtorch. You have unlimited ammo so don’t hold back. You can use melee and grenades too so this should not be much trouble.
Kamikaze (Silver): Complete a level on Regular difficulty of higher using only melee or grenades. (Solo only)
-Play any level on Regular difficulty or higher using only melee or grenades. I suggest Playing the ‘Semper Fi’ level on Regular difficulty. Be smart and use your teammates as much as possible. Sprint up to enemies and stab them.
Iron Fist (Silver): Destroy all towers and bunkers in ‘Blood and Iron’.
-On the ‘Blood and Iron’ level there are bunkers and towers scattered everywhere. Use your tank to clear out enemies and tanks to make this easier. I recommend doing this on Recruit difficulty. Search the entire level for bunkers and towers. Note: Water towers count as towers. Here is a step by step guide to all of them.
Towers:
1. Red water tower just after you turn the first corner.
2. Red water tower directly behind the first water tower.
3. To the left of the far-left artillery gun.
4. To the right of the far-right artillery gun, in between the two bunkers.
5. Behind the right bunker.
6. To the far right, you will see it to the left of a tank sitting on the hill.
7. Before you turn right to destroy the Radio Tower you will see some Russian soldiers running across a field, look into the distance and you will see a red water tower.
8. To the left of the Radio Tower.
9. To the right of the Radio Tower.
10. Behind the left side of the big bunker.
11. To the east of the big bunker.
12. As you come over the hill you will see it to the left of the trenches with a tank in the middle.
13. To the right of the previously mentioned tank.
14. As the planes fly over they destroy this one but just check they do.
15. The furthest right you can go, north on your compass, next to some concrete blocks.
16. Follow the concrete blocks down to the left, you should see it as you drive into the train station.
Bunkers:
1. To the right of the far-right artillery gun.
2. To the right of Tower #4.
3. As you turn right in to the field with the Radio Tower look to the left a little bit, there is a bunker slightly hidden in the trees. You will see rockets fly at you from the bunker.
4. You can’t miss it as you come up the hill. There are two parts to it, left and right, make sure you destroy both!
Ruthless (Bronze): Kill 15 enemies while mounted on a tank in ‘Ring of Steel’.
-At the very end of the ‘Ring of Steel’ level you will see a few tanks lined up heading in the direction you need to go. Go up to the first tank and hop on to take control of the mounted gun. Use the gun to mow down 15 enemies.
Mortar-dom (Bronze): Kill 8 Japanese with thrown mortars in ‘Breaking Point’.
-In the ‘Breaking Point’ level you will come to a point where you have to throw mortars to take out mortar pits Scattered around. While taking out the mortar pits make sure you kill 8 enemy soldiers and you will get the trophy.
Shot in the Dark (Bronze): Kill 10 enemies while the lights are out in the subway in ‘Eviction’.
-While in the subway in the ‘Eviction’ level the lights will go out every few minutes and then come back on. Kill 10 enemies while the lights are out. I found the path to the right was the easiest for me.
Sum of All Zeros (Silver): Down 45 Japanese Zeros in ‘Black Cats’. (Solo only)
-After you sink the cargo convoy in the ‘Black Cat’s’ level you will have to shoot down Japanese planes called Zeros. This is probably the hardest trophy in the game. This part of the level is broken into three sections. After the first section you want to be at around 10-15 Zeros downed. Once you get to the next section you should get at least 10-15 more. You want to be as close to 30 Zeros downed as possible going into the final section. If you are not even close to these numbers you might want to restart from the last checkpoint and try again. Blue Ribbon (Bronze): Complete a 4-player Competitive Co-Op match in 1st place. (Online co-op only)
-Be the top scoring player in a 4-player online competitive Co-Op match. This can be made easier by playing with three friends and having them let you score the most points.
Get Your Left Foot Wet (Bronze): Complete a match in Campaign Co-Op mode. (Online co-op only)
-Complete your first online Campaign Co-Op match.
Get Your Right Foot Wet (Bronze): Complete a match in Competitive Co-Op mode. (Online co-op only)
-Complete your first online Competeitive Co-Op match. You will get this while going for the Blue Ribbon trophy.
