LittleBigPlanet has had a price drop of £10, the MCV reported today. The critically acclaimed title, which has been out in the United Kingdom since November 2008, is now £44 in retailers. But the title is even lower in online retailers, including DVD.co.uk for £10.89, while Play and Amazon have the game on sale for £12.99. Sony has commented on LittleBigPlanet’s price cut, saying the new cost is made to attract new customers.
“In general the retail environment is very tough at present, but the positive consequence is that when consumers are feeling the need to monitor their spending there are still some attractive deals to be had if people shop around. It is commonly accepted that in times of economic hardship, people value their entertainment. And the multiple hours of entertainment value represented in a video game can makes games a more attractive purchase, especially at a discounted price.”
It looks as though it’s a good time for you Europeans to pick up this amazing PS3 exclusive. A good time as well, with a whole slew of DLC coming now, and coming in the near future.
