According to an internal memo, Zellers may not be stocking on 80GB PS3Core bundles anymore.
The memo states that employees are not to take rainchecks on an advertising deal to purchase an 80GB PS3 and any PS3 title under $30.
The memo does also note that employees cannot accept these rainchecks because Zellers “can not promise” to fulfill them with the same item. This sudden situation could mean many things, including the possibility that Sony could be getting rid of the 80GB model in favor of a reduced price 160GB model. It could also mean they’re clearing the model for the PS3 Slim, or more 160GB bundles.
