In statistics recently released, Sony has indicated that worldwide, almost 24 million PS3s have been sold. To be exact, 23.8 million have graced consumers’ households from the initial launch in November 2006, to June 30th. Within the same period, PSN and retail software sales climbed as high as 189.7 million purchases.
These numbers come after the unveiling of Sony’s first quarterly financial report, which saw the overall brand, which includes their Vaio PC line, fell 37.4 per cent year-on-year and resulted in a net-loss of JPN 37.1 billion.
