Welcome everyone to the Down-Low on what to Download. This past Thursday, the US store received two new demos, Fight Night Round 4 and NBA 2K10: Draft Combine. The UK store also received an additional demo with Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do To Deserve This.
Fight Night Round 4
Well this is the second demo for this stellar boxing game. You can do pretty much what you did in the first one such as go through the tutorial and have a fight between Hatton vs. Pacquiano. Now what did they add well now you can also fight as either Tyson or Ali and this time it is not limited to three rounds in fact now you can compete in a complete match. In addition to the two new playable characters they also added the control configuration that will let you use the face buttons to punch.
By now most of you that are interested have played the first demo and more then likely have bought the game, but for those of you on the fence this demo simply shows you more of a reason why this is a wonderful game and there should be very little hesitation to pick it up. If your still on the fence head on over and check out our review.
NBA 2K10: Draft Combine
This demo is covering 2K newest mini game of sorts. Essentially NBA 2K10: Draft Combine has you create a potential player and have him go through the pre NBA draft combine. Play in scrimmages to increase your stats and live the life of a potential NBA star. The demo itself has you simply create a player then play a scrimmage. You only can control your player in game and the camera will only follow you around.
The demo was fun, and if you have played any of the 2K basketball games you know what you are getting into. As far as possibly picking up the combine game it is only $4.99, but it is a small part of what 2K10 is going to be. The best bet would be just play2K9, but if you want to build up a player before the game is released then this is a good pickup for you die hard basketball fans.
Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do To Deserve This
This demo as well as the full game hit the US PSP a few months ago as well. You play as the God of Destruction, and you must create a dungeon complete with your own army of fearsome creatures in order to stop the hero’s from capturing Overlord Badman. The demo comes with a tutorial level as well as being able to play through the first few levels.
You create your dungeon by destroying blocks of soil, some soil blocks are green and when broken slimmies will spring out. The slimmies will move around and eventually sprout into flowers when the flowers die they sprout into three more slimmies. While the slimmies are moving the will occasionally spit on to the soil blocks after so many have spit on a block you can create an omnom. The omnom will then eat the slimmies which will turn the omnoms into omnom flys and the cycle continues. Essentually you create a leaving breathing eco system that will consume and reproduce basically on its own.
This game will not be for everyone it can be difficult and most of us have never seen anything like this game before. All though the fact that it does something completely different is very refreshing. For some of us this demo opened our eyes and was a lot of fun. It may not be for everyone, but this demo is a great experience.
That wraps up the Down-Low on What to Download for the week of 9/7. To recap, Fight Night Round 4 is still a great game and if you had any reservations after the initial demo and our review this demo will prove its a great buy. NBA 2K10: Draft Combine is a fun demo, but it is pretty basic we suggest waiting for the full game release, but for $4.99 this may not be a bad pick up for hardcore basketball fans. And last is Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do To Deserve This this quirky game was quite a refresh since it does something completely different. Everyone should try out this demo since it may not be for everyone.
