2008 was a great year for the PlayStation 3. But on one fateful June day, SCEE announced it would no longer develop two promising-looking titles, The Getaway and Eight Days. But recent developments point to these games returning from the grave to much of everyone’s surprise.
According to french website Play3-Live, the Sony London studios were hard at work crafting the two titles when it was decided that attention would be turned to EyePet and SingStar. A member of the team Nicolas Doucet reiterated that these games were not canceled, merely cast aside until such time as they could be worked on further. As was evident over a year ago, these games were well into the development cycle when they were put on hold. According to Doucet, they were each about halfway done. So for everyone who had hoped for these titles to see the light of day, your prayers have seemingly been answered. Of course turn to PSLS for news on these games as it develops.
