Hoping to import an ultra-rare limited edition Final Fantasy XIII “Lightning Pink PS3” on December 17th when the much-anticipated RPG is released in Japan? With the PS3 costing more in Japan along with some unforeseen circumstances in regards to the allocation of units from Square-Enix, be prepared to pay a pretty penny for the pretty-in-pink “Lightning PS3″…
Final Fantasy XIII PS3 bundle will available alongside the game when its finally available to eager Final Fantasy fans in the land of the rising sun. To much dismay, the sun isn’t the only thing that’s rising on December 17th when the game releases. The price will also be raised, thanks to massive demand and a shortage in supply from Square-Enix.
The only Japanese retailer holding advance pre-orders of the limited edition PS3 bundle has raised the price of the bundle from $529.90 to a whopping $709.90. That’s even more expensive when the PlayStation 3 originally launched back in November 2006. It’s also right around the amount these rare consoles are fetching on Ebay.
So if you want to own one of these rare pieces of Final Fantasy heritage, be prepared to fork over a nice wad of cash.
