Eventually, everybody gets tired of doing the same old thing year after year. Recent rumors are pointing to Infinity Ward falling under this same syndrome.
According to a source on website VG247, the creative minds over at Infinity Ward are working on something “completely new.” Activision is staying quiet about the details of the subject. The next Modern Warfare game, should it exist, may have been handed off to either a Canadian studio or the just-formed Sledgehammer Games. The latter seems more likely, since they have a posting on Gamasutra stating that they are looking for someone with “5 years experience working on current AAA multiplayer shooters for current consoles and PC.” Who among us would like to see what Infinity Ward can do besides shooters?
