Ubisoft’s recently unveiled title I Am Alive has been largely mysterious since its original debut. Other than the fact that it has been announced as an action-adventure title set to release on the PlayStation 3 platform in 2010, very little is known. Unfortunately, the suggested release date of 2010 has already been delayed.
Ubisoft has confirmed that their title in development named I Am Alive has been delayed to 2011. As with release delays with titles such as Gran Turismo 5 and Bioshock 2, the delay comes as both a surprise and a disappointment.
However, the delay may come with some benefits. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated the following during a conference call:
“We have been totally re-engineering the product, so it is still on the way.”
Whether or not the delay means the title will be better upon release is a matter of speculation. With that said, there’s no denying that after Assassin’s Creed II, anticipation for any title by Ubisoft is well-deserved.
