The Yakuza series has been one of the most popular franchises in Japan. The first two games were localized for North America and Europe on the PS2, and received much acclaim by critics around the world. Fans were delighted to hear that Yakuza 3 would finally make its way to North America and Europe, almost a year after the game’s release in Japan. The game was originally slated for late March, but it looks like it will be released a little sooner.
According to Amazon, Yakuza 3 will be available March 9th. A picture of the listing is below.
This is great news for anyone who has been waiting for the release of Yakuza 3. However, this would seem to be an unfortunate day to release Yakuza 3, because this is the same day Final Fantasy XIII is being released in North America. Sega must be confident Yakuza 3 can sell well when going head to head against one of Square Enix’s biggest franchises.
