After Bioware’s thriller triumphed sales charts recently, some new evidence has been discovered which points towards a PlayStation 3 version of Mass Effect 2.
A Polish site named Kikoo has claimed there is a small source code proportion contained in the PC version of Mass Effect 2 which suggest that a PS3 connection to Bioware’s adventure title is valid.
The source code reads:
[SFXGame.BioSFHandler_CharacterR? Ecord2]
m_nMaxRenegade=1900 m_nMaxRenegade = 1900
m_nMaxParagon=1957 m_nMaxParagon = 1957
m_srXPFormat=340881 m_srXPFormat = 340,881
m_srSpendTalentPointsMessageXBox?=348754m_srSpendTalentPointsMessageXBox? = 348,754
m_srParagonRenegadeMessageXBox=3?48755m_srParagonRenegadeMessageXBox = 3? 48,755
m_srSpendTalentPointsMessagePC=3?48753m_srSpendTalentPointsMessagePC = 3? 48,753
m_srParagonRenegadeMessagePC=348?755

m_srParagonRenegadeMessagePS3=15?3007m_srParagonRenegadeMessagePS3 = 15? 3007
The last two lines suggests there is a PS3 connection to Mass Effect. CVG contacted EA to ask if the firm were keen on a PlayStation 3 version of the game, a short “No comment on that one” was the reply.
