Sega has kept the majority of the After Burner games in the arcades with only a few of the games appearing on home consoles. After Burner Climax is a port of the arcade version released in 2006, and Sega has recently released footage of the upcoming PlayStation Network game. The footage is very impressive and looks to bring over the same chaotic and fun gameplay from the arcades.

From the video, we can see that players will be able to fly the F-14D Super Tomcat, F/A-18E Super Hornet, and the F-15E Strike Eagle as well as choose various paint jobs for each. No release date has been given yet, with Sega giving a vague ‘later this year’ release window.
