True Crime To Benefit From GTA V Absence This Year

Activision Blizzard‘s CEO, Mike Griffith, has said in the company’s year-end earnings last night that the new True Crime title is looking “especially strong,” and looking to benefit from year’s competitive window.

The executive said:

This is a big open world action games that looks to be especially strong and should benefit as this year’s competitive window in the genre is wide open.

Grffith is most likely referencing the absence of a GTA title. He further added what the crime thriller is all about:

The game blends intense Hollywood style driving with martial arts combat and shoot outs deliver an Asian cinema inspired action thriller.

The past two games in the series were developed by Luxoflux, whereas the new crime title will be developed by United Front Games, which is the same group currently developing PlayStation 3 exclusive Modnation Racers.

“Back half of the year” is the date guideline for the title. Stay tuned in to PlayStation LifeStyle as we reveal more on the action title.
