Naughty Dog Affirms Commitment with 1.05 Patch

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was among the best single-player experiences in recent years. However, with over 2.5 million copies sold, the multiplayer component of the title has also garnered a lot of attention from PlayStation 3 owners. Naughty Dog’s commitment to patches and updates has kept the Uncharted 2 online community busy since the game’s release in October of 2009.

Naughty Dog have announced that the 1.05 update for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is soon to release. According to the official post, cash penalties for leaving have been adjusted to reduce funds based on level. The official post states:

The cash penalty for leaving a match will now be commensurate to your level at the time the penalty is applied. REMEMBER: You won’t receive a penalty for leaving a match for whatever reason for the first time within a particular span of time. The tiered penalty by level is as follows:

* Levels 1 – 20: -10,000
* Levels 21 – 40 = -20,000
* Levels 41 – 60 = -40,000

According to Naughty Dog, the recently added leaderboards for the online portion of Uncharted 2 was praised by many multiplayer fans. Because of that, Naughty Dog are adding a scrolling ticker which will display a variety of stats on the main multiplayer menu screen which can be seen in the screenshot below.

Last but not least, it seems that many players have run into an issue which resets the players rank. Thankfully this will also be addressed in the coming 1.05 update.

Since Title Update 1.04, we’ve started to hear from you about seeing your individual Level being reset and also seeing your Ranked playlist skill rank reset again during the course of play.

Naughty Dog added:

Addressing this as soon as possible was incredibly important to us, which is while you’ll be seeing Title Update 1.05 released very soon.

It looks like the 1.05 update should be out within a few days and will bring some more great changes for the online community of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
