Recently, information surfaced which suggests that SCEA will be on a full-force ad campaign for the upcoming blockbuster God of War 3. Only weeks ago, 7-eleven stores across the country began selling Slurpee cups which not only feature God of War 3 art, but also contain codes for redeemable merchandise. Now it seems that GameStop will be joining the campaign as well.
GameStop has announced that they have begun a huge campaign for God of War 3 titled the “Be the Envy of the Gods” Sweepstakes. According to the announcement, GameStop will be giving away thousands of prizes weekly through March 15th to God of War 3 pre-orders. Prizes include a Sony home entertainment system, a VIP trip to a music festival as well as free pizza for a year. Along with the grand prizes, thousands of lucky winners will be selected weekly for chances to win Kratos Masks, PlayStation 3 XMB Themes and Digital Strategy Guides.
Along with a GameStop pre-order for God of War 3 comes an exclusive “Phantom of Chaos” Kratos skin as well as a free God of War 3 poster. The pre-order confirmation code can be used once a week for a chance to win all of these cool prizes before the official release of March 16th.
