The very soon to be released murder mystery phenomenon from Quantic Dream, Heavy Rain, has been and still is climbing the charts in numerous countries. The PlayStation 3 exclusive has been sprinkling rain all over the US Amazon charts; enjoying first position for two consectuive weeks. But how has the Origami Killer been doing on online retailers other then America?
Heavy Rain has been taking Europe by storm as Amazon France lists the special edition of the game at second, with Final Fantasy XIII for PS3 claiming first. Amazon Germany has it down for third (which may of been helped by this), at the heels of Bad Company 2. Amazon UK lists the thriller in third on their best seller list, trailing to Just Dance and Aliens Vs Predator. Play.com lists Heavy Rain as fourth just behind Brutal Legend which has recently received a price reduction, while ShopTo have listed the exclusive as first on the pre-order charts.
Amazon Japan has the game ranked on second place, just missing out on first which is occupied by the PS3 version of Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition. Import specialists Play-Asia, has the thriller placed at first on their bestseller list.
Despite Heavy Rain being in at least the top 5 for countless continents, Quantic Dream’s cinematic masterpiece will undoubtedly rise ferociously upon release which is on February 23rd in the US, and February 26th in the UK.
