Gamers have had to wait patiently on various occasions for 2K Games‘ thriller Mafia II. The sandbox-style third-person shooter has been delayed numerous times, but now a solid release date has been revealed.
2K Games has announced today that the sequel to the original smash hit PC title, Mafia II, will be available in North America on August 24th, 2010 and internationally on August 27th across multiple platforms including the PlayStation 3.
Mafia II transports gamers into the dark and unforgiving world of the feared Mafia. The second installment in the award-winning series replicates the clothing, cars, music and advertising of 1940’s and 1950’s America. The Mafia II developers recently penned a deal to bring Playboy into the game.
Mafia II will be playable by the public for the first time at the PAX East from tomorrow onwards, and PlayStation LifeStyle will be there, so be sure to stay tuned.
