Gamers around the world are eagerly awaiting the next game in the long-standing Metal Gear Solid series, Peace Walker. The series creator, Hideo Kojima, has calmed worried fans that the game may suffer due to the technical limitations of the PSP. Kojima put the core team of designers behind MGS4, and is personally monitoring every step of the game’s progress. With so much anticipation behind the game, and being part of a series that has been known for having the most diehard fans, who would buy absolutely any collectible, regardless of price, it was only a matter of time before a “limited, limited edition” was announced.
The “Big Boss” pack will be limited to only Gamestop’s in North America, and will run for $199.99. It includes the following items:
- “Camouflage” PSP-3000 system
- METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER game on UMD
- Voucher for in-game content unlockable early on in the game
- PlayStation Network downloadable movie voucher — title to be announced (UMD will be available for Canadian residents)
- 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo
- Premium carrying case
This comes just on the heels of the “Entertainment” pack, which is retailing for the same price, can be found anywhere, and includes the following items:
- PSP-3000 System (Spirited Green)
- Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker – UMD Game
- PlayStation Network Movie
- 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo
The game, which we here at PlayStation LifeStyle are very eagerly awaiting, hits Japan later this month, and North American retailers June 8th.
