For the past three weeks, the PlayStation 3 has been coming in first in the hardware charts. The console has been doing immensely well as of late, especially in the land of the rising sun, with PS3 exclusives (in Japan) such as Final Fantasy to thank.
Enterbrain (parent company of Famitsu) has announced that the PS3 has sold 5 million units since its release in 2006. The company also revealed that Final Fantasy XIII, a PS3 exclusive in Japan, is the top-selling title for the console at 1.8 million copies. Coming in second is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (with over 706 thousand copies sold), and in third is Yakuza 3 (with 526 thousand copies).
