Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi is well known for his attention to detail which has been shown in numerous Gran Turismo titles. There has been much speculation that the amount of detail that is being put into Gran Turismo 5 will result in a long wait for a release. However, UK’s biggest online retailer has listed a possible GT5 release date.
Peter Dille officially ended the speculation back at GDC that Gran Turismo 5 will be released in 2010. But the question is exactly when will it be released?
UK’s largest online retailer, Play.com, has listed the PlayStation 3 exclusive racer as a September 24th, 2010 release. This isn’t the first time an online retailer revealed release dates for the game, with Amazon listing a November 1st release for Polyphony Digital’s racer and CDWOW also listing the game as a September 24th release.
The date from Play.com may indeed be true as Sony’s Portugal boss James Armstrong last year said that they believe Gran Turismo 5 will be launching this fall, before Christmas, but was not yet decided exactly when.
