Musician ‘Accidentally’ Confirms LittleBigPlanet 2

LittleBigPlanet‘s unique Play.Create. Share. user-generate content has made the game a resounding success, even winning a number of industry awards. So it makes perfect sense that after bringing the game over to the PSP, Sony and Media Molecule would cash-in on a PlayStation 3 sequel. Rumors of a LittleBigPlanet 2 have been swirling around for months, however every time they’ve popped up, they have been quickly shot down. It seems that a popular European ‘Musician’ has let the proverbial cat out of the bag thanks to one little innocent tweet.

The Tweet in question? Take a look at the image below…

See what I mean? Christopher Leary, also known as ‘Ochre‘ is a master phonographer, artist, and mastering engineer. You can listen to the song ‘Infotain me‘, here. It even has a LBP ‘vibe’ to it! So major congrats to you for your contributions to LBP 2 and thank you for confirming it for all of us eager gamers!

IGN has since contacted Sony and received the cookie cutter response of “Sony does not comment on rumors and speculation”!! What? NO WAY!

With the original LBP featuring an online community of over 2 million user created stages, how will Sony and Media Molecule handle the process of asking everyone to move on to the sequel? Or could this be the rumored ‘LittleBigPlanet’ PlayStation Move edition? With E3 coming up in less than 2 months, you can bet your dollar that more and more news about a sequel to LittleBigPlanet will grow louder and louder. Make sure you check back here at PlayStation LifeStyle as we will do our best to keep you informed on any news about this much requested sequel!
