Among the classic RPG games found on the original PlayStation console stood Parasite Eve, a survival horror role-playing game developed and published by Squaresoft (back before Enix took them down a few notches). The game is loosely based on the original Parasite Eve novel which released in Japan 2-years prior to the game. All these years later, Square Enix has now seemingly confirmed a release date for the next title in the beloved RPG franchise.
Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday for the PSP will apparently be released during 2010 in Japan. Square Enix’s president, Yoichi Wada, revealed a line-up of games from the developers which will be released in 2010. Wada mentioned Nier, Deus-Ex: Human Revolution, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2, Kane & Lynch 2, as well as Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday for the PlayStation Portable.
Wada surprisingly makes no mention of Final Fantasy Agito XIII or Final Fantasy Versus XIII, both of which are arguably bigger news than Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday.
