The birds-eye view which was introduced in the original GTA still has a place in many gamer’s hearts, mainly due to the reason of reliving the original Gran Theft Auto days. Chinatown Wars offered just that and now a new PlayStation Minis title has been announced which aims to bring the beloved style of classic GTA action back.
Developers Tag Games has announced Car Jack Streets, a title which will be expanding the ever popular PlayStation Minis service.
Action, driving, and crime game is what players will experience as you play as Randal Meyers, a small-town crook that’s one million dollars in debt to the Mob. And unlucky for him – they want it back. You’ll be fighting for your life to get the money to pay the debt back. You acquire money by robbing banks, steal cars, do jobs for the crime lords and the occasional Pizza delivery job.
Car Jack Streets primarily started on mobile platforms including the iPhone where members who made the original Grand Theft Auto game wanted to bring a GTA-styled title to phones. The concept is pretty neat in Car Jack Streets. It features a real-time element where the time in the game is the same in the real world. For example: If you need to get to the bank in five minutes to rob it, then it’s real-life five minutes. If a gangster gives you a week to pay back $50,000 of your gambling debt, then that’s one real week.
With Car Jack Streets giving players a massive city with hidden items and side missions to complete as well as a broad range of vehicles and weapons, the PlayStation Minis looks like one of the best Minis title yet. It’s now available on the PlayStation Store and is playable on both the PS3 and PSP. For more information, be sure to visit the Car Jack Streets website.
