Just when we thought Black Rock Studios and Disney Interactives’ Split/Second couldn’t get anymore intense and awesome, with all the explosive screenshots and destructive gameplay trailers, the first DLC pack has been spotted in the wild.
Well, not exactly in the wild, but on one of the UK’s biggest digital retailers, Play.com. The massive online retailer reveals that the first downloadable content for Split/’Second is entitled, “Hyper Car Pack”. The pack will include:
3 super-high performance vehicles which rank among the most powerful vehicles in the Split/Second tournament. Taking any of these onto the start grid of any event gives the driver an instant advantage over any opponent – providing they can handle the extra speed, and drift dynamics!
As of now, the only way to gain free access to the DLC is pre-ordering the game via Play.com. However, for those who won’t be pre-ordering on Play, then you’ll have to pay up for the ‘Hyper Car Pack’ on the PlayStation Store.
Split/Second faces some fierce competition, with ModNation Racers and Blur on the horizon. The game will be racing into stores on May 18th, 2o10.
