Well known for their sports division and mainstream franchises, Electronic Arts has become a mega-publisher and developer. In an ongoing conference call, EA’s CEO John Riccitiello talked about his company’s performance over the previous year, talking both about the sales and quality of company’s games, and how that has translated into an increased share of the market.
Speaking to investors, Riccitiello spoke about how the company has 20 titles in the past year that have attained a Metacritic rating of 80 or higher. Game-wise, EA is the number one third party publisher on the PC, PS2, Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. Furthermore, Electronic Arts had four of the top 20 games in North America and four of the top 20 games in Europe.
